PoE Mobile and why I'm not upset about it.
"It's because Blizzard tried to announce it as a huge flagship title to an audience that was looking forward to a Diablo 4 announcement that never came that year and made a very poor attempt to convince the audience that it was what they wanted. It wasn't like Blizzard are the only ones at fault for poor marketing of a mobile game. EA also attempted to make a huge presentation of a Command & Conquerer mobile game spinoff with a lengthy speech about how fantastic the mobile platform is in an attempt to convince an audience of console and PC gamers that it was a product worthy of such big stage presence (from what I understand about the game itself: it wasn't.) Basically a mobile game can't be treated as a viable replacement for a flagship PC or console platform when it comes to showing them at big announcements. Even Bethesda did this better because they didn't pretend Elder Scrolls Blades (I think that's what it was called?) was a substitute for a proper new Elder Scrolls game. |

" no, I wont. Zero understanding? not really, it's fairly common and easy to ignore certain things to avoid a point it's very common in poe community when shit hits the fan. Do as you will.. but I will call hypocrite every single of you if you touch the mobile poe version. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure." Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe2 = ruthless 2.0 = bad. Last edited by Xystre#4581 on Nov 16, 2019, 8:12:04 PM

Chris just said on stream he doesn't even care if the mobile version doesn't make revenue, they just had fun doing it and drop it in the play store basically. On top of that it's the computer game on a small screen, that will carry on the computer game mtx's etc
Compare that to diablo immortal which was a reskin of a Chinese generic game that already was a rip-off of diablo, with it's own store, so basically getting as much revenue as possible in the laziest manner, + announced at the worst possible moment |

" Exactly, they did it right. Blizzard is on the record saying they pulled their best devs off every other game to make mobile games, and they chose to only announce that at their convention. They also have been REALLY sketchy on how the monetization will work, and they aren't even making it themselves, Netease is. GGG just announced more content then Diablo has gotten in it's entire 7 years, and ended with a mobile announcement, that they promise won't have ANY pay to win, and they're making it themselves. It's actually the first mobile game I've ever had an ounce of interest in. |

" No one hated Blizzard for doing a mobile Diablo. They hated them for hyping up the Blizzcon for Diablo fans, while they ONLY had Diablo Immortal to show them. Whill GGG introduced the mobile game on the "down low", with lots of humor and, more importantly, in addition to A LOT of content to their main game which everyone came to see. If the mobile game was everything they had to show on Exilecon, it would turn out the same as it did at Blizzcon 2018. Context isn't your strong suit, I guess. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Playing a quick 10 minute session on the shitter sounds fun. Definitely gonna try it. I have a high end phone and all I use it for is texting and videos. What a waste.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence. Last edited by Xavderion#3432 on Nov 17, 2019, 12:24:29 AM

Will return to the game if they launch this badboy and make the game slower, 20something me could do this crazy BOOM and 50 monsters die, but now i like slower pace, strategizing, looking around, enjoying the graphics and action.
P.s.where can i sign up for the beta, did both of the betas for desktop back in the day. Last edited by Primefunka#3878 on Nov 17, 2019, 4:27:32 PM

I don't know how I feel about them putting resources into yet another side project instead of focusing more on what they already have. It feels bad that the game turns into an alpha/beta every 3 months. More employees could help squish some of those really bad bugs. I guess i will just have to get used to the idea that the quality of product that GGG has to offer will always be subpar.
