[3.12] Durimon's Ball Lightning Miner "REVIVED", 6 ex, even FASTER than pre-nerf (Updated)

Volatile Dead, it's a aoe projectile spell which seeks targets like Ball Lightning also sorta does (only thru mines, traps, and totems. Self/hand casting version of Ball Lightning don't seek targets).

I wouldn't presume to know as I haven't delved that far down ever. But I think evasion, dodge, and spell dodge would be pretty vital for this build if you want to go that far. That and some form of CC/slow with chill, and freeze.

Thanks for your input.

Durimon, I'D like if you can make a video delving with this BL miner :)
Regards.

Thanks for build, that's made me come back to the game!
I founded a watcher's eye jewel with 1.5% of lightning damage leeched as ES while Wrath as addition to 20ES per hit, and was so excited, but after testing i'm bit confused. I didn't see its effect during combat. I expected that, considering the damage from BL, ES will recharging almost instantly (now i have 3.6k ES) but its not.
Can you clarify me this, maybe its effect not working for mines?

You can't leech from mines.

You can with Machina Mitts unique gloves equipped.
Made some good progress with my char. Level 94 now and done most of the atlas, except for the rare unique maps. Hall of Grandmasters deathless as well.
Goal is now to do uber atziri and uber elder although I have no experience with killing either. Not using the Shav's version but the original life variant. 6.1k life and a ton of attack and spell dodge which seems to work really well.

It's hard to find upgrades though, even with a bit of currency in the stash. Think my current gear is still only worth 1 or 2 ex at most and all the content so far is devoured. The build is also quite suitable for blight as you can throw mines in all directions swiftly and the mobs are close together so the lightning balls hit them all.

I hope I can keep the motivation to play a while longer. Often during leagues, when the atlas is pretty much complete and Shaper is done I lose interest but for now I still have some goals to achieve with this wonderful build :)
You don’t stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop playing.
This gets a bit long winded so forgive me! I love this build, but after playing through the campaign and all 4 labs deathless so far I have to wonder why you didnt pick more aura nodes?
you run so many auras yet only 6% increased aura effect on the tree.
And the big hitter: Your mines have aura effects too (the stacking damage buff is the aura) and you don't have Demolitions Specialist ascendancy.
I'm not sure if I was looking at your latest POB with the shavs but you can get 20-25% more damage by just switching out your ascendancy. (granted, you lose a lot of AoE so maybe the enemy isnt covered by quite as many lightningballs)

My suggestion is this: scrap the 14 passivepoints down to the mine+aura nodes towards ranger, get all 3 other auranodes right next to your pathing for more -% mana reserved and +48% aura effect (ranger nodes had 6%) optionally you can grab the 4 point mine cluster "destructive apparatus", not sure if the less damage debuff on the enemy is an aura though... could be a useful 2nd "enfeeble"

As for the auras I love how you made that build a monster with budget gems but if you juice it up a little (or a lot :D ) you can make even scarier things happen... level 4 enlighten + level 21 bloodmagic can let you run disclipline+wrath on your life reservation if you pick the 3 auraclusters I mentioned, this leaves you with the option of dumping precision and putting clarity there on your mana reservation link (high level enlighten needeed for max level clarity but lower level is much easier on the budget) and adding in zealotry for even more crit and spelldamage (free consecrated ground can be useful too).

As for mana reservation from mines: these are flat mana numbers, scaling your manapool works wonders here and gives slightly more flat ES from "Arcane Will".

Getting back to the mine auras and ascendancy.
If you reach 30% chance to deal double damage on your gear (while focused can be had with 2x weaponcrafts i think, at least according to PoB) you only need another 70% from high-impact mine stacking buff to max it out and that can be had with 24 or 25 mines I believe but 23 is close enough.
I believe somewhere around 15-20% double damage chance from other buffs and gear apart from high-impact mine is the breakpoint for when "Explosives Expert" passes "Demolitsions Specalist" for average damage on a full mine load. (assuming the 48% increased aura effect I mentioned earlier)

Killed my first ever uber elder today. Think I can say this build is viable for all content seeing as my gear is nothing special. Maybe next league i will try the fireball version :)

Seems this thread is abandoned.

Edit: I just noticed. Dying Sun cancel out my wise oak resistance penetration bonus. Any solution ( or replacement for wise oak)??

That's the case with every single one of these Durimon threads. He'll post for a little bit then abandon it and expect other people to carry support for him.

Only thing you can do is work to balance resists with Dying Sun included or dump Wise Oak entirely.
Yap its lost, i would like to see it on 3.9 because its nice build just leveling section sucks. Because it have a nice potential to be a league starter, but new players need normal leveling section, what to pick why, what to craft, when and so on. For new players its crucial. If Durimor spend 25 minutes and put everything in order it will be so nice to have a wonderful build guide, write now its just a build with info lacking for new players.
