just starting up again really like the slam builds. is it possible to run sunder or earthshatter? really liked that skill if so would the gems be the same? thanks!

yep, only need to change skill gems. this build works for all phys slams

if you do an ele slam like ice crash or tectonic you need to change a few more things

Just curious what you would change for Ele slams, I just came back after 2 years, and everything is so different, and not many are bothering with melee anymore, especially ele slams

you would drop pride/phys auras and go with the correct ones, herald of ash/hatred etc

would also look for the elemental scaling nodes instead of our pure phys ones
How does this build do from a new player friendlyness standpoint? I'm coming back to PoE after several years away and a friend of mine who's never played is looking to join me so they need something pretty solid - I said I'd look for builds for them and they want something melee so I ended up here. I know you've addressed a lot of this in your OP but many of the OP things seem a little out of date so just asking the wider forum here how this build does in the current league and how budget friendly it is etc?

Thanks everyone.
Having fun Mace Slamming in Crucible SSF!

I'd like to also give it a workout in Standard league as a Juggernaut.
Any suggestions for changes to make it work?

I've two unique 2h axes I could use to level Wideswing (lvl 18) and Kaom's Primacy (lvl 58). Thinking I could give those a go along with the Vaal Ground Slam and other unique items I've collected in Standard.

Thanks..

slams (and this build) are quite button intensive and this build is a berserker, but i feel its strong as a starter and is new player friendly

hello friend!

axes work great, just swap all the mace nodes to axe ones. you probably want to go impale too. both those unique axes are very solid lvling items
Question about the new escalation node. I just got a a 1.69aps piledriver, it hits quite fast so im running out of effective exterted attacks. I decided to spec into escalation grabbing the 2 warcry recovery nodes on the way. The warcry cooldown recovery seems to be helping but im not sure how much of the escalation node is taking effect. Do you know how this new node works? What does it mean when im affected by warcries per second? Am i wasting my time with this node? I can always spec into the 2h reduced speed mastery instead.

i believe it counts the warcry buffs, for example each warcry has a small constant buff that lasts for x (usually 5 seconds). for each number of these buffs you have, it give you 10% dmg per, up to 6 (60%)

its not bad if youre running 4 warcries and keeping the buff upgs (40% for 1 node/mastery) but its not extremely powerful or anything

Ok I opted for the 2h mastery 60 inc dmg 10 reduced speed + the 4th node of the measured fury wheel. I cant even feel the 10% reduced speed with this mace anyway.

Ok, this is a really bad version of your build I know. XD

Trying to figure out where I can best improve first without bricking everything totally - I feel like once I get into a groove I can survive more, but sometimes I'm just one shot no matter what.

hi friend!

good news, all your equip is very bad so you can find cheap 1c upgrades very easily

farm 150 fusings and 5 link your tidebreaker, this is a psuedo 6 link and should carry you dps wise to red tier maps

helm is pretty bad, but decent enchant. farm essences and use life/res essences until you get good res rolls (35+) and 75+ life

chest is similar, use essences for big life/res rolls (110+ life is very easy)

neck is only really giving dex and res, buy one with max life more res more dex for 1c

both rings are pretty bad, search for 70+ life and the dex/int/res you need

gauntlets pretty bad, can grab wyrmsigns to puc warchief in + rampage or just buy a nice set for 1-5c

belt has very low values, again get 70+ and res, or better save for ryslathas coil

boots are "decent" but 15% ms is low and you can find much more life MS and res on cheap boots

get instant life flask

get a roll on your sulphur flask using transmutes/alterations

your mana flask should ideally be rolled to enduring if you need one, but you should get %phys leeched as mana so you can drop your mana flask

keeep lvling up and make sure your res are all capped
