New PoE player decided to choose marauder and confused.

I bought a Geofris for 1 chaos orb however its 2L. My dps increased from early 100s to almost 400.

I put in heavy strike linked to added fire damage. is that okay?

What other pieces of gear could i get to find a 3l and socket my ground slam with other support gems so i can go ground slam marauder build.

Heavy Strike with Added Fire is fine, though Added Melee Physical would work better.

All armor can have 4L. Chest and 2H weapons can have 6L. 1H weapons and shields can have 3L.


If you want more sockets, look for good gloves/boots that have 4 sockets and link those or find them pre-linked. It takes longer to find good replacement boots and gloves than other slots.
