Did you see the OFFICIAL loot filter of Grim Dawn Exile?

I don't think you still get the point. It's not about lootfilter. It's about the fact that no other sane developer releases something like fossils without making them stackable or has a solution. If they don't have a solution, they find it ASAP, not allocate resources into other dumb shit.

LoL, have you ever played any FREE TO PLAY game? I sure do played plenty of those and most popular thing devs of those games love to do is to flood your tiny inventory with trash so you are "forced" to buy more space.
Its their game and they give it us for free. If you dont like how its played while its free, pay for convinience or stop bitching and leave.

GGG is fucking clever way they got you to buy stash tabs. Starts with currency... chaos only stacks to 10 and other currency limits. Then they implement like a million uniques, league stones, talisans, fossils, essences, cards, and on and on. They went full on greed not making fossils/resonators stack. Probably my final straw on support since I realize I'm being played. Once you lose my trust you never get it back.

Not to mention Grim Dawn actually has like 8X inventory space compared to PoE to begin with.

Yeah, at this point Aynix isn't even trying.

Since when Grim Dawn is free? Ofc they will give you space - YOU PAID FOR IT.
Of course I did pay for it -that's not the point. Anyone who has a basic understanding of economics should know, there is always payment for services they are consuming -whether they are public or private services and how they are being financed.

That being said, while playing a game such as Grim Dawn I get no feeling that financial side of the game is screwing over with how the content is put in place, which is the feel I get when I play PoE. Don't get me wrong -PoE is still a good game. What people are saying about fossils, inventory space, clutter mechanics to sell more tabs and so on, however, rings very true to me.

Especially the clutter thing is relevant, because it affects QoL.

What's the problem with current POE loot filter? Single txt file to edit? You can't seriously call notepad.exe the 3rd company software.

To be fair, as in itself PoE item filters wouldn't be much of a hassle at all. It's no big deal to set them up right. What buggered to me with PoE (I'm taking a break currently) was the need of fiddling with ALL the 3rd party sites and programs to properly play the game. You can't plan a build, craft shit, farm for item bases without 3rd party help. ALL the new league mechanics are a big spreadsheet fest.

At this point I actually am hesitating to get back to playing PoE since I fear it will be too much work to have any fun in the game. To me it feels very much how Aim_deep has been saying -ARPGs is about killing shit and picking loot. GGG should exercise some soul-searching to get back to these basics.
PoE is just a semi-free alpha test for the original Tencent PoE.

If you want a new feature like fossils tab etc. you'd better somehow bring this idea to Tencent and soon you'll get alpha version of the tab on this realm just for $30. Surely it will eat your fossils first few weeks and would become unusable after league merge but… it's alpha testing guys, that's how it works!
Problem: impostor syndrome
Solution: nerf everything
Result: depressing mess

PoE has a great loot filter. Who cares who created it ? Pick your battles dude

Grim dawn been out for years and been great for years.
It just didnt get as much attention due to Diablo and Path of Exiles.

Grim dawn been the 2nd best ARPG on the market after Path of Exile for the past 3 years. It was better then Diablo 3 almost at launch and now half a dozen expansions later its in a strong position.

its also healthy that Path of exile get a rival cause competition creates creativity and increases quality.

There would be no Intel Technology at the level it is today without AMD kicking Intels ass earlier.

We would have no Android phones if not for Apples Iphones.

And hopefully now that Grim Dawn turn it up a notch, Path of exile will turn it up 2 notches.

And above all, Diablo 4 hopefully kick them all to kingdom come.
I think it wont happen but it would be awesome if it did, since that means Path need to even furthe develop.

Hence, Competition is great for customers, less good for the company itself.
Grim Dawn is pretty damn responsive to its community too. There are only 7 developers on their team, and they're quick to patch the very few bugs that show up. There are a few 1 shots in the game, but can be avoided and never seem unfair.

One thing I find especially bad in the recent PoE, since last summer anyway last time I played any length of time, is the over the top special effects, explosions, colors spraying all over the screen turning it into a semi slide show.

Too much stuff, not enough loot, or as the Sea Raiders tell you in Warband
"Less talking [convoluted mechanics], more fighting [decent loot]"

Yeah indeed, i just got in trough Steam for 5euros, with all the inventory and stash it comes with, not like paying 5-15euros in PoE every month to get the various stash tabs available.

But so far the gameplay of Grim looks really flat, and visually it hurt my eyes, so it come with good ideas too, but far from being perfect.
