Don't be a "ninja = kick" baby
OK lookit, some of you folks are out of control and even silly/unfair with the ninja kicking. Had some irritating experiences this past week and I want to join my voice to those who wish y'all would just stop with the whining about "ninjas".
And this is coming from a guy who has a fairly slow machine, lower FPS, so I have a hard time getting to my items in time. Oh well, that's my loss, don't like it, don't play multi IMO. The timer is plenty long now, for one. If you don't get to your item, why should everyone just stand around and wait? Someone IS going to take it if you don't. So why shouldn't it be me? It all balances out. If there's a repeat-offender who sits by your items instead of fighting, sure, boot them. I don't see that happening. At least I haven't seen it so far. For another thing, I can't *tell* you how many "ninja = kick" games I've played in where I got ninja-ed, said something, and no one gave a shit. You make that game so that YOU won't be ninja-ed but you don't GAF about anyone else. Admit it. So just stop it. Stop being a baby, realize it's a give and take, and figure out the game mechanics because they're pretty generous now. Sometimes you can't even see the name before the timer runs out, if the drop is off your screen. So I'm supposed to just not pick up ANYTHING unless I see my name is on it? Yeah to hell with that. And this is coming from a guy who HATES when the gold item or orb with his name on it doesn't end up in his inventory. HATES it. If I can be a big boy about it, so can you. So either protect everyone in your "no ninja" game, or just stop. My 2 cents. Last edited by ionface#0613 on Mar 8, 2013, 12:20:49 PM

I think the problem is that players seem to think loot is theirs, in a free-for-all mode.
It's not - it's reserved for you to give you a fair chance compared to someione closer. I've 'lost' 2 Exalted and countless Chaos to 'Ninja's', but in all honesty it doesn't bother me as it was never mine in the first place. Gamers are used to having their hands held nowadays, and this just proves it. I love the cut-throat nature of public matches. |

" This is something people just will not accept. They have never read what the loot timer was actually for. It was never meant as an *it is yours* thing. It is currently impossible to steal anyone elses loot. Loot does not belong to anyone in a group. The timer is meant only to give a slight competitive edge to someone far away or with latency. This was the compromise made because losing *all* loot because you are ranged on a poor quality connection sucks. In the end, I truly believe people will not let this go. They own the loot with their name on it. If you take that loot knowingly or unknowingly, they will be angry and call you names. Loot options is the only answer. Then me and my partner can play without these ridiculous timers and enjoy the darned game. Those who need 30 minute timers or instanced loot or whatever can have their cake too. I don't actually pay attention to loot until the fight is over. At that point loot timers are over and I pick up whatever I fancy. I am no ninja. If you want something that I loot? Ask and you shall receive. These days, it is more like "OMGWTFBBQ, that was MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY drop, you ninja POS" *kick* These people do realize they are acting like a 3 year old, right? |

go ahead and loot my shit and i will kick your worthless ass every time.Worthless loot whores need to be put out of their misery..If you are one i WILL kick you.
The loot system is a joke for the ranged people.Melee whores loot it before ya can get there...SIMPLE..GIVE ME MY OWN LOOT...ALL fixed. |

Its best to stay clear of any game with the term NINJA in it.
Lets face it, right off the bat. The person making that game obviously has huge mental issues. Hes trying to force random people to play the game the way its NOT meant to be played. And usually people who join that game will join just to piss people off. Those games are usually just a cheese and whine fest. |

My opinions on this matter:
I personally don't give much of a damn about trying to loot in public games, I have sense enough to know that if I want to ensure myself loot drops, I play solo or with friends, if I want easy / better exp then I can join public matches. BUT, what I do have a problem with is people who stop all combat and huddle around timed items waiting for them to expire, leaving the one or few people that actually care about progressing to fight the remaining mobs alone. So while I do not really care about the loot drops, I do tend to like party's that respect loot because people are less worried about items and continue to clear a mob and then grab their items, making runs / progression more streamline. |

" No. You are the one with the mental issues. The person making the game is ASKING like-minded players to join and play with him. He is not forcing anyone to do anything. They become a whine fest when retarded kids like you join with the sole purpose of harrassing them. |

I steal whatever I can, I just ignore the whiny morons that try to insult me.

If 5 other people are preventing me from getting my loot, it's my fault for letting them do that.
At least, that's how I used to think before I started soloing everything. I find map parties to be a lot more polite in regards to that. Until a map drops and everyone goes ape shit. I party for rushing through quests on alts, not for drops. The only time I get pissy about it is when I'm the only person using a certain weapon type, a rare weapon of that type drops to someone else and they refuse to hand it over. It's like "Are you going to use that claw? No? I'll take it." If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban.
Thanks GGG. |
