The Bottle Necking of the current"End Game" ie Maps

Here is the thing you guys need to realize, when you think you know about the map system, especially when you are just starting, you actually know nothing about it.

1. Not all maps of the same level are the same. Some maps are FAR more valuable than others.

2. Understanding map affixes and suffixes, its actually fairly complex, certain maps are worth mazing, some are not.

I have ran 100+ if not more maps so far, and I've even sold dozens of bad maps for alchs and chaoses, and have never been close to running out.

The system is fine imo, if you craft intelligently and know which maps to dump currency into getting good rolls, and which maps are meh and only worth a few alterations of rolls, then you'll never run out.

Well I suck at multi quoting a thread, but hopefully you get the idea of the point I'm trying to reach here.

Why do we have to pay to guarantee our access to the current end game which is maps?
Why if we run out of maps are we forced to farm zones that are 10+ levels lower then we are in hopes of getting a map to drop? Did they not just nerf the chaos recipe to try and curb high level characters from farming lower level zones for drops?

If the intent of GGG is to force us to continually pay to access end game content. Should they not go back and change the structure of killing a ending act boss to proceed to the next act/difficulty to farming certain drops to hand in to proceed and make the drops trade-able like maps are so if we don't get the drops we need we can buy them from other players willing to sell access to the next act/difficulty. This way players will be trained and not taken by surprised by the change in game mechanics once they reach "maps" content?
Luke: Sorry we have to leave you here, but it just ain't right to eat your wife's and daughter's brains. Plus you're really disgusting and I don't want to spend anymore time with you.
This method would basically bring under control a system fully based on RNG - which I approve of. I agree that access to endgame and endgame gear should be restricted. But in a controlled, thoughtful and precise manner, not just left alone to be at the mercy of RNG.

Yes, the proposed points system looks MMO-like, but PoE is already a online-only RPG with many MMO elements. MMOs are not inherently bad, like anything in this world, there's good and there's bad in their formulas.

It is up to GGG to take the good from MMOs and implement it properly in PoE, in a specific Wraeclast flavour so it won't alienate part of the player base.
