The Bottle Necking of the current"End Game" ie Maps

I bought ten maps to start with a week or so ago.

I have over 20 maps in stash.

Most are 67+ and the toon im currently playing is atm 75.

started running 68-70 maps today, I have found 3 or so 70 maps in maybe.. 6-9 map runs 68+ (mostly rare maps being run).

all you need is a nice IIQ and a 68+ map, u can get higher rolls. I also found a bunch of 69 and 68s which yeild me higher level maps.

RNG is RNG, Q is Q.

Working as intended.

You just have to build your map base up starting from 66.

The thing that gets some people raging, is the progress after 85, or even past the 90's, and the rarity of the 72+ maps. At that point those high level maps are pretty much the only way to level. You'll run into it as well.

Unfortunately these players are missing a fundamental fact. The game is fresh and missing a lot of content. They're not supposed to blast past their 90's right now.

Here is just a totaly different point of view:

I bougth 5 maps
Two hours later, i was out of map
I did that 4 times
Now i am out of map AGAIN...
So at level 72, with no more currencies to buy maps on the market, what am i supposed to do?
Farm docks at level 72? ... i really love poe, but actually, i think i will stop.

I can understand that item/gems/etc drops are random, but i really don't like the fact that you need luck to the access to the new content

ps: before being flamed,
I ran only maps with 30%+ quantity (always bonus to pack size)
My zombies (main dps) are link with item quantity 25+% item quality 50+%
I have gears with item quantity +20% and item quality +60%
Folks I just want to say thank you for chiming in on the discussion without any of the normal cesspool one liner responses.

So far though no one has come up with a argument as to why we have to pay and grind end game content in hopes to be able to continue accessing the end game content.

Would it not be a more enjoyable playing experience with less frustration of not having to worry about micro managing our attempts of trying to force the RNG gods in giving us more maps. Only to get pissed off running our map when not a single map drops. Then what are we left with? We are left with grinding a low level zone(hmm didn't a recipe just get nerfed because of this) in hopes of getting a key(maps) to unlock the door to let us back into end game content? Or we have to go out and look for another player that is willing to sell us access to the end game content.

Also I do fully understand that this may just be a by product of the limited game content, but why sit quietly by with fingers crossed hoping that this issue will just go away when act 4 gets released.

Few things to say on this. First, you have been incredibly lucky to get those 70 maps. I have personally run around 100 68 and 20-30 69 maps over the last several days and have found 1 level 70 map. Second, IIQ has no effect on map drops.

I would actually suggest Lunaris or Catacombs over Docks. Much higher map rates. Also, as stated above IIQ/IIR has no effect on map drops.

I did not know IIQ didnt affect map drops. My fault, was under the impression it did. I mean more quantity = more chances for a map to drop amiright?

And i guess it could be luck, but I was no the only person finding 70 maps my buddy was also, not to mention majority of the time more than 1 map dropped, hell i got a 70 69 68 and a 66 from a 1 68 rare map.. Maybe it was just my RNG luck today.

Still you guys are forgetting the game isnt finished, there will be more acts/zones with higher levels so map grinding will not be the only true end game.

Problem is people acting as if the game is finished, its OPEN BETA.

I still think the map droprate is fine though, we are all subdue to rng rape but believe that if you bought 10 maps youd atleast get to run 25 maps from the initial ten you started with.. which to me is fine.

Maps arent expensive either.

Now leveling past 85+ is a seperate subject, and people lower level than me complain about docks xp? I know i can still grind docks at 75 and itd be ok xp, maybe im just used to grindy games.

I don't care about xp... i want fun and challenge. Are docks challenging?
I can't clear this zone without looking at my screen.
Same for lunaris are catacombs.
When you are level 72, you need maps to enjoy the game.
Here is the thing you guys need to realize, when you think you know about the map system, especially when you are just starting, you actually know nothing about it.

1. Not all maps of the same level are the same. Some maps are FAR more valuable than others.

2. Understanding map affixes and suffixes, its actually fairly complex, certain maps are worth mazing, some are not.

I have ran 100+ if not more maps so far, and I've even sold dozens of bad maps for alchs and chaoses, and have never been close to running out.

The system is fine imo, if you craft intelligently and know which maps to dump currency into getting good rolls, and which maps are meh and only worth a few alterations of rolls, then you'll never run out.

I totally agree to whatever fix will be applied to ACCESS end game zones... I have stopped counting the docks runs I have done but I have yet to see a single map to drop (ANY level)
The end game is a complete grindfest of the worst kind... I'm if GGG wants a grindfest game hire a Chinese and learn from them...
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself
I've been saying it since CB. Restricting access to end game content is awful.
