Ok guys, I am having really hard time noticing any difference when I picked up this passive. I am using heavy strike with 2 hander, but I really cant see any bigger range. I also tried auto attack, same thing there.

What about you? Did you notice any change at all?

ok, i did more intensive testing and I think I get it now. It is not that there is no more range with this passive but distance at which your character stop to start attacking when you target enemies is not changed. The only way I could use bonus range is attacking while holding shift but thats not really a good way of single target attacking with melee.

Is this a bug or is this intended?

You're right about the radius, in that cleave is 20. Ground lam is 35 (but only a 90 degree arc), leaving cleave pretty much halfway between base melee range and ground slam. Sweep has the same radius as cleave, but a full circle rather than half.


The melee weapon range passive adds 2 to the range of melee weapons (one handed weapons go form 4 to 6, two handed from 5 to 7). It has no effect on any skill that doesn't use the weapon's range, such as cleave, sweep, and ground slam.


Are there any reason why the melee range of master of the arena cannot apply add an additive range to the melee aoe skills as well? They already quite a bit worse then any ranged AOE as it is and that extra range would add a bit conveniency indeed but nothing that would change the balance. So I fail to see why it shouldn't be able to apply on cleave, sweep, gs and the upcoming Cyclone as well.
