Slow Mo Zombies! (No Uniques Needed|Relaxed Playstyle|Easy to Gear|Anyone Can Play|All Content)[3.5]

realistically vs ultra end game bosses you want 30k hp zombies

there is really only 2 ways to get there

either use one of the new +7 level 2 handers to get level 28 zombie gems or use montreguls grasp.

fortify is a cool idea.. but as a gem.. no. plus you can just use the vigil you want that.
Why do you spend a passive skill point on Whispers of Doom for an extra curse achieving three when the Slow Mo Zombies build only requires two curses?

Ok so your zombies (even with all the minion nodes) still die on the hard hitting bosses i.e guardians and stuff (especially with damage mods). Have you tried linking them with empower lvl 3 and minion life? Wondering if that works, if not then adding fortify as well? A bit of a nuisance I know but I just cannot get my zombies to survive at all unless using Montreguls grasp and I just can't stand the idea of using a half zombie build where the zombies are non existent in fights that matter most lol
Hey there! I'm not sure if you were responding to Original Thread or a different response, but you have good suggestions! This guide has Minion Life Support and Fortify linked to Zombies though. (Did you reply to the correct guide?)

In regards to Empower and the Uniques, this build's design is to be able to easily clear the Atlas with any items that drop. So it doesn't require any uniques or specific Elder/Shaper mods. Even the Enhance that I hope people find for Temporal Chains is optional.

Many builds have a map clearing skill and a single target skill. So considering the above, the videos that I linked show just that. Maps get cleared by zombies, bosses die from Skeletons.

(Empower 3 adds about 4000 life to Zombies. Though that's a lot in a map, it's nothing without the use of Convocation in end game bosses with all the DoT the bosses do. Zombies innately only have Resists to fight Damage Over Time.)

Good suggestions. I hope I answered your question.

Yup. Good points for sure. And going with the concept of not NEEDING any specific mods or items, I found it easiest to just focus on the Zombies surviving maps and then ignoring them in bosses battle and focusing on Skeletons. It's such an easier and mindless battle that way.

Thanks for the post.

Yo :). Adding Whispers of Doom allows us to have two curses, not three. Characters start off with a limit of only being able to apply one curse (which you know) and then Whispers of Doom would be the second curse. Where are you getting your third from? Am I missing something? Let me know so I can fix it! And no worries if it's mistake. Good question and thanks for the post.

Yeah good answers, I love playing summoners, tried quite a few different ones, some I built from scratch some I followed. I tried to follow this but I found the guardians with damage mods and Syndicates were still kicking my a**. I don't like rerolling too much on maps but it seems I couldn't handle too much. I was just wondering if you tried them with these gems to see if the zombies survived or not. The zombies being alive makes a big difference to my survivability and I think with some testing the guy with the other answer it totally right and my wants of them staying alive without montreguls is not gonna happen.

It is most likely down to play style as well though. It is definitely a great guide for what you intended, love the double curse thing which I actually took the idea from you and adding a dual curse on hit arc for my other summoner.
Does the passive tree link being from an older version matter for this build or did nothing change? Sorry if this has already been asked, I haven't played for many years.

Playstyle for sure always plays a part. And remember, I just do "no required items" to show that the build can be done without specifics. So if the playstyle is to your liking, you can add anything you want to the build.

Thanks for the compliments!

Hey! Good question! Though the Path of Exile site says that my tree is from an older version of the game, it isn't. The tree I've provided is for the 3.5 tree, made on the 3.5 tree. I made the tree in a program called Path of Building, then imported that to the Path of Exile site. I redo this guide in a new thread every expansion so all the information (tree) and replies will always be relevant to the current league/expansion.

So ya, the provided tree is current, even though there is a disclaimer saying otherwise.

And don't worry about asking multiple questions in a thread that has 58 pages of comments. It'd be silly to expect anyone to read through it before asking a question.

Welcome back to the game. I hope you love it :).

I forgot to mention, with Zombies specifically, Convocation is a BIG part of Zombie builds. You have to choose to incorporate that skill into the the build or simply have a really strong Plan B (like Skeletons). The reason I say this how the Necromancer Ascendancy is layed out. You HAVE to go through Invoker to get to the Zombie Ascendancy node...by design. If you don't use Convocation, Invoker is pretty weak as an Ascendancy node.

On a side note, I'm not sure why Skeletons would be connected to Invoker. They aren't impacted by the Convocation.
