Delve league RED map drops
I ended this league with 78 t16s, I ran uber elder a bunch. This was the easiest league to get a bagillion red map drops

This season was the easiest map sustain of all leagues imho.
I sold excess maps for over 60ex worth while leveling to 100. A big portion came from delve. |

" " Right, but you guys are talking about sc trade league and deep delving. When map drop rates are balanced around these things, it makes sustain in hc ssf too difficult. |

" Dude. "Balance" and a self inflicted "SSF" don't go in one sentence. This is exactly why GGG didn't want this mode in the first place and its also not how the game is meant to be played. I am all for playing SSF. It's a fun mode. But you can't come here and demand map sustain... |

" I'm not demanding anything, I'm not in a position to do so. I'm simply saying that inability to sustain maps in hc ssf has disgruntled me to the point that I seriously evaluate whether I want to continue playing the game. I'm sure that I'm not alone in this sentiment, running low (<T11) maps at high lvls (>94) is almost pointless from an experience perspective. I put a lot of time into this game, but when the majority of the time seems completely wasted toward my end goals, then it gets to be extremely annoying. Being perpetually annoyed isn't something that I should reasonably choose to do with my free time. This is all that I'm saying, I'm not making any demands. I'm just describing my perspective to see if others concur, and then hoping that GGG will take these considerations into account when choosing how to balance map drop rates. I'm trying to be careful not to insinuate that the game should be balanced around ssf, I DO NOT want this to be the case (I want it to be difficult and grueling, that's the whole point). But I feel that balancing map drop rates around sc trade mechanics has INADVERTENTLY caused a real problem for hc ssf players. In order for map drop rates to be reasonable in hc ssf, a constant supply of chisels, sextants, chaos, vaal orbs, high lvl zana, and exploitation of secondary mechanics (Temples, Delve, etc) can't be required. HC prevents extreme exploitation of secondary mechanics and map enhancing currency supplies simply can't be sustained without trade. By "reasonable" I'm not talking about staying in T16s, I'm simply expecting to stay in T11+. That doesn't seem like too much to expect once you've managed to reach lvl 95+. Map drop mechanics can be adjusted to benefit hc ssf without impacting overall drop rates in sc trade (decrease drops in secondary mechanics, increase drops in maps, for instance). Just my opinion. |

Hmm to be honest, I didn't have the best time but for me it may have ended up being bad RNG.
I probably ran 50+ T16 UGS and ended up not being able to sustain. Probably had to buy ~10 UGS or otherwise supplement from Delve outpost drops in order to keep going. Every map: - Rolled to 85+/25+ IIQ/packsize - 3-4 sextants - 3 sac frags each - Permanent Shaper/elder influence - Zana 8 harbinger - Monstrous Treasures for every 500% strongbox sextant Only T16 completed in my atlas was UGS. 130+ map completion overall. That's just about as maxed out as you can get and I ran a DEFICIT in T16s. For those of you that say "if you know how to invest in maps it's easy", here's your proof that it's not a guarantee. --- Later ran 25 or so guardian maps at 85+/25+, 3 sac frags and Zana 8 or Onslaught. Dropped maybe 10-15 guardian maps for a massive loss. --- So yeah, not great. That being said, dropped 2 Reliquary Keys, corrupted a elem weakness 2-abyss tombfist, and chaos spammed a 5 T1 dmg amulet. Basically relied on dumb lottery luck to make up for very poor sustained map returns. Last edited by kentishtown#0152 on Nov 22, 2018, 10:17:31 PM

" How did you sustain guardian T16s? I had a terrible time with this while running uber elder. I know how to invest into maps -- curious just what subset of tactics you used for guardians. |
