Any ETA on fixing these ridiculous AMD FPS drops? (e: Nvidia cards affected as well!)
Looks like that Q+A was published recently, at least GGG acknowledge that the problem exists but I'm not sure if it's just for publicity's sake that it was stated "other than the fact that many AMD users have changed settings in their overall AMD control panel that negatively affect Path of Exile."
No offence but this seems like a poor excuse. Should players just not touch any graphics option at all then to try help fix the existing problems? I know and appreciate that the devs are doing the best they can to improve the game across the board but personally I would just want some assurance that this actually is a priority with even just 1 person working on this rather than assigning someone qualified to fix this to a new microtransaction gimmick. |

The issue is pretty obvious. The engine has a problem with handling large amounts of particle effects at once, same goes for lightning calculations and high polygon counts.
To be honest i don't know if this is a licence engine or a selfmade one, but if it's a licence engine, it was clearly designed for smth different.
