same shit happened when Xbox was announced, didnt change a thing about the game
but as long as reddit screams about the sky falling, it's gotta come true right guys?

Right, didn't change a thing, but how many skills that require actual targeting were added to the game since the xbox announcement?

Zero

Exactly, zero or uncomfortably close to it.

Best case scenario, it will be the subtle things. It's easy to keep drop rates, challenge counts, trading and similar jazz separate between versions, but there will probably things that will have to carry over at least a bit of the chinese way of grindy to the main game. Most likely league design and character development, anyone up for ascending point by point so it gets annoying enough you're tempted to skip it by spending cash?
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

You deserve the money because you worked hard for it. It is your company and you can sell it to the highest bidder for all we care.

Respect and understanding of your decision is another matter.

Also, this is a post that should have been uploaded before the presentation of the new supporter packs a week or so ago. Trust me when I say that if your stats show that 40% bought the supporter packs on the release, if people knew about this update(which you must have been discussing with Tencent for a long time), not even 2% would buy.
But of course, you knew that already.

Most of the community is not stupid and they understand what a move like this means.

Either way, I feel glad that I didn't like the new supporter packs, and know that there is no way that you will EVER make MTX to reach the level of Sin and Innocence combined. Thankfully I have the whole set so won't need to buy any MTX or supporter pack ever again.

I do expect an insane drop of price for the MTX from now on though. 20 and 30$ was always a huge joke, but when a community member supports a game he loves, he doesn't mind to invest some money.

For ten-cents, I would buy though. But huge ass corps with billions do not deserve charity.

Time will tell.

Stay awhile... and listen.

BTW, after this Announcement i think GGG need to turn off supporters packs, right? They don't need our support anymore! They got TONS of $$$, so why we still need to give them our money? To make they MORE rich? They floating in money and the will keep floating in them for next 100 years.

So yeah, please TURN OFF SUPPORTERS PACKS or RENAME it to DLC or VIP Access.

Supporter packs are still supporting GGG you idiot. Regardless of who owns what share of the company. Do you even know how the real world work? Big corporations invest a great amount of money that banks cant afford to take the risk on. They pay the money upfront, which means that GGG will be able to develop what they need for the next several years, regardless of the amount of supporter packs sold.

If you want a good polished product you need a lot of money, you can depend on random milenials with attention span of 6 seconds to buy supporter packs every now and again.

You all wanted free to play model with no pay to win and without subscription. Well you got exactly what you want you entitled pricks

They don't need more money you idiot. Tencent make this decision not for money, but for intellectual property, so they can make they OWN PoE with Black Jack and **** like you.
GGG already get what they want, they will keep supporting this game before Tencent decide to close this studio and make they own PoE.
This studio is not INDEPENDENT anymore, they just part of Tencent holding. They will get money for salary from Tencent and Tencent will be own EVERY dollars what GGG will get from PoE.

PS. Aaron Ciccheli is make a SUPER SMART move when buy 7.5% of GGG LUL

Buying a company is different than buying IP. The IP could be owned by the founders within the limitations of a patent. THIS IS AN INVESTMENT Tencent lends money to GGG with the goal of making those money back in 5-10 years and turning a profit. This provides financial security and stability and insures stability of Operations and promotes growth. If you everyone stops buying supporter packs this whole ordeal becomes a great loss of money for both Tencent and GGG which will lead to layoffs and finally force all share holder to liquidate their assets to compensate partially for the loss. Entitled [Removed by Support] like you brought this to them selves with their ever present demand for new and better stuff.

integrity RIP
I guess they wont need more money from avg Joes anymore since they got the big dough from the suits.
I wont spend anymore on this.

They did this because it probably made every employe at ggg rich and secure for life and that is good for them, but....

was the community not supportive enough? was the big supporter packs, the myriad of tabs and pets and weapons for their 10-20$ price not enough?

Was the company in some financial hole that they needed this? Or is it just more money is better than all the money we have given so far?

Im sad.

Independence and community support is what made this game great.

Now it will lose massive community support for sure, and im 100% it is okay with ggg because they get all the money they need now from the suits, but i wonder what this game will be after 2 years.

Im sad.

Edit
After reading a lot about this:
I guess i'Ll hold on the buy and if things keep going good i will support them

I remember when Blizzard got bought by Activision and they said the same thing, "nothing will change". Things changed.
