" So did PoE awhile back too. So what is your point? Throw your money at the Chinese beast then, be my guest. Go for it. Gobble up the biggest nerf turd yet GGG has thrown at you and relish in it's crappy aroma. I guarantee this game will make an about face in the next year. 20% only gives the current dev facility enough revenue to keep them afloat. The rest buy's some Chinese executive a new condo in Hong Kong. Lap it up, that's what you're supporting now. |

did they tell what they received in return of the 80% company share?
did they receive cash? or did they get some tencent shares in return? if it was cash: did they put some portion of it back into the GGG-company? BTW: if GGG sold all the salt of this thread they would become the wealthiest company on earth. ALLOCATING SPACE Last edited by ashnixi#0299 on May 21, 2018, 6:29:46 PM

Runic Games, the Seattle-based studio behind Hob and the Torchlight series, is no more.
China-based publisher Perfect World Entertainment — which acquired a majority stake in Runic in May 2010 — told Polygon in a statement that it has decided to close the studio “as part of [Perfect World]’s continued strategy to focus on online games as a service.” https://www.polygon.com/2017/11/3/16605008/runic-games-closes-motiga-layoffs Hope it ain't gonna end like this. Good luck and all the best to you , man. My hovercraft is full of eels!

" LOL always had P2W elements, like new champions which were vastly overpowered and only available for in game currency that you had to farm by grinding 24/7 or using a booster pack, that did cost real money. The issue with LOL was always, that you had to play forever to achieve something there. Compared to HOTS where everything is free and easy to get by playing casually, LOL demanded that you play all day for the rest of your life, to unlock all champions, skill tree´s and runes. This was before the Chinese took over. I do not know how LOL looks like today, but just to give you an idea about what LOL looked like, incase anyone would come here and claim that LOL went Pay 2 win due Tencent. |

" Dude i hope only the whiners get alienated lol They should go play a better, free and supported game like D3. |

Well I know where my red lines are.
They are certainly NOT crossed. The first generations of Mystery Boxes were pretty close though. GGG improved them over time and the current state is ok for me, although I will obviously never become a fan. I can only speak for myself, but from now on, considering the new situation, I will not tolerate a single attempt that is somewhere close to the first generations of Mystery Boxes. |

Lol, PoE is going to become so pay-to-win in China. Whatever, keep the two realms separate, and we'll be ok... probably.
