The orville a better Star Trek than STD

Watched 2 episodes, and wasn't impressed.

But, IMO there hasn't been a decent sci-fi series since Stargate SG1. And the later seasons of that weren't all that great.
I tried a few episodes of the Orville but I couldn't keep it going, it's just awful. Star Trek: Discovery was fine until the episodes with Harry Mudd. If they get beyond that and back to the Klingon war proper, it may get better.

Personally, I miss Dark Matter, it was way more interesting then either of the above and leagues ahead of the dross they didn't cancel.

Yeah, I'm still salty about that. Hopefully Netflix picks up the show and continues it.

The Expanse is well worth a watch. I'd also recommend the books.
