In Europe and beyond? I am receiving some rather distressing reports today from a friend in Spain about violence there.

Basically the spanish governement try to halt the independence vote by using the police to prevent people to vote. Globalism at it's best strike again!

It´s against the spanish constitution. Imagine Nebraska or Texas would vote to leave the U.S. ...

They never agreed to recognize Kosovo so I support Spain on this.

Personally, I think globalism would be better in the long term but if they want to become independent because they are treated as second rate citizens (kind of similar to how the rest of Canada treat Quebec), then I support their movement.
Edit: btw, I condemn the government of Spain in how they are handling it. Sending police and shooting on your population is NOT the way to do it. All they are gonna do is cause the population to get ready for a possible/probable civil war. If your people want to secede, I don't see the moral or ethical argument for trying to stop them by force. The only reason to do that is because you rely so heavily on their taxes or other resources, in effect it becomes a weird reversed invasion.
Same problem with SE Ukraine (though Russian violence was unacceptable -- should've been purely Ukrainian v. Ukrainian without outside interference). --- Re: state secession, the states that want to secede are (in order of support) California, Texas, Vermont, and then the numbers fall off. If you count sub-state divisions such as Jefferson or multi-state divisions like Deseret, the occurence is actually kinda high. I usually DGAF about europe since it's kinda a socialist shit hole but I always edge on side of freedom. If they want to be free of Spain let them. Oh and if ISIS wants a state let them too. This idea everyone needs to be same and one global community is stupid.
