The most retarded death you've had in this game

I just had the most bullshit death I've ever had in this game.

At Gruthkul, made a portal cause I had a buyer for something, had all my flask charges. I click the portal, it says "Failed to join instances" - I do it again, same thing. And again, again. Even reopen another portal, same shit happens. I was standing there clicking my fucking portal for 15-20 seconds and the game wouldn't let me, while that shit happened I was using my potions cause I was obviously taking damage from the boss as well. Suddenly I get the load screen (Haven't had a death screen yet), try to invite the guy and he's the one to tell me we're not in the same league. Cause I had died.

I feel robbed of my time tbh and I've never felt this way with any hardcore death, I'm very used to playing hardcore and the thought of losing your character. Imo, I'd like to have died in a more fair way, but this time was just different. And fucking stupid.

I'm curious, has anyone experienced something similar or something equally bullshitty?

I should say, I haven't had an unfair death in this game since the desync days. Compared to other games, that's pretty impressive.

probably the instance crashed, sucks... basically the only option you had at that point was either win the fight or log out.

I've had all kinds. Including one just this morning that had me extra salty. None of them were anyone's fault other than mine though.

Retarded death? Definitely caustic mana flask as CI. I was doing so good too with my CI flameblaster so I could get all the HC achievements. Oh well, maybe some day when I'm bored again.

Had a similar death like this once, where i was leveling RF in an off slot. I went into a pack, didn't realize I was on the wrong weapon set and where my main skill would normally be, RF was now there. Needless to say, heavy breathing, panic and death shortly followed.

Lol dude at least you learned the lesson without paying a high cost:

ALWAYS kill the boss befofe tp'ing back town for a trade or whatever.

I'm in the Lunaris Temple, at the last gate before the fight with Piety. Then I realise I really need to go to the bathroom , so I double check the area and head for the toilet.
When I return, I'm dead. 3 tentacle miscreations had descended the stairs and killed me :)

I afk'd on desecrated ground.
