Waypoints

+1 for old waypoints or atleast give us option to change it

I personally like the new waypoint system better, but it does seem like there are quite a few people who would MUCH rather prefer the old system.

I'd love to see an interface option integrated to appease all players. The new system is VERY helpful for new players and would be a good default setting. Having the ability to switch to "Basic Waypoints" versus "Detailed Waypoints" would be awesome.

Just my 2cents.
If they dont consider to just keep the new map for the quest interface only, yes then maybe add a switch for some kind of "verbosed" mode (on by default) for new and unexperienced players?

I think the waypoint in Pools and Streams should be located close to the exit of Vaal Ruins.

It takes a little while to go through Vaal Ruins level 1 and 2. I've been doing it three times now. Each time I had like twenty minutes to play. And each time I have to do it again because I didn't have the waypoint.

In Diablo II they were often placed strategically at the exit or entrance from/to another zone.

I'm not too sure what's the benefit of having the waypoint close to the bandit camp? When you did the story you know which one you want to help and that's that. Why would you want to port close to the bandit camp more than once?
Waypoints should be 100% randomized regardless of anything.
"This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"
I really like the game but the current waypoint system doesn't respect my time at all. I would much prefer it if Waypoints were located at the entrance of a given zone to make it easier to save progress instead of hunting through a zone. Do what You want with the rest but have waypoints at the entrance.
I would like waypoints to be very close to zone entrances as well.

I level the 'wrong' way. I like to try clear each area exactly once, without being obsessive about getting the last six mobs... The game seems well paced for this, my new 53 char is a bit above the areas, ready for the cruel Barracks.

In that I want to clear zones exactly once, I am annoyed if I have to kill mobs in a zone a second time while working through the story.

One general issue is doing the quest areas before the outside zone resets. It makes me drop outside halfway just to be sure.

My annoyance points are:

Act 1:

The ship graveyard could be a bit closer to the entrance, and the trek from starting this zone to reaching the next waypoint (Cavern of Wrath) is a bit long. It does not help that i find the Coves utterly boring, and refuse to skip it.

Act 2:

Revisiting the river crossing, but at least the second trip is so over-level at it is quite safe to just run past mobs.

The western and dark forests could both be more "at start".

The trek to reach the Pools and Streams wp can be a bit long. If it was at zone start, it would be quicker to reach, and "follow the left wall" would work to find dread thicket. If starting to clear Pools to end up at Vaal wp, this is also a long session.

Act 3:

Back into slums to find that darn sewer.

Long trek from Warehouse Slum WP to Marketplace WP.

For me, finding the Battlefront WP usually takes a long time, but it is usually well placed to do the trip to docks after Solaris. But to avoid clearing a lot of battlefront twice, it is a really long trek from marketplace to Solaris WP.

Barracks has a new problem with the imperial gardens, which itself is a mess being a giant hub. To avoid clearing twice, it was already a challenge to get from the Barracks to Lunaris WP in one sitting.

This are the things I miss with an objective of "allow a moderate session to be a clear piece of story progress".
