yeah sunder /flicker or w/e setup you prefer for farming is good.

As for the tooltip, again, i repeat, its irelavant since it shows ONLY the melee hit portion and not the damage we do with the balls

I have a similar character but crit based, no steel/opal rings nor xoph's.

I am using a stone golem for regen, and have taken the Hematophagy and Vitality void nodes in the skill tree, ignoring vaal pact. Requires a bit more investment in %maximum life and regen nodes in the tree, sacrificing damage, but actually feels better in the end.
