Lack of Passive Tree reset diminishes enjoyment
There is no "web-skill tree" in FF10
Remember there are "blocking nodes" that basically make you go in a single path until end-game. There are no blocking nodes in PoE. |

This isn't an MMO. F2P MMOs are horrible at punishing players to pony up cash to remedy their mistakes. In the past, I have quit games or refused to play them due to this. Fortunately, this game is meant to be replayed ALOT and you don't have to pay a dime to do so. That means that players don't need respecs because you will be making a lot of characters (hell, we have 24 max slots). You are encouraged to experiment with skills. The only advantage I would say from allowing full respecs is to avoid the early boring part of the game where characters aren't fully developed. Maybe try to have the early levels more exciting so it doesn't feel like making a new character a chore.

" Exactly! Journey before destination, friends. Hard games force you to enjoy what you're playing at the moment, easy games make players wish for something more. And I'd be willing to bet, players who play easy games are wishing for the game to be harder. Satisfaction comes from overcoming obstacles, not asking for the obstacles to be removed because they're inconvenient. P.S. Manofdusk, ever read The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson? Awesome book :D |

" Just a bit of flexibility? You get plenty of respect points from quests; this offers plenty of that 'flexibility' you're talking about.... don't forget that us 'veterans' became veterans because we chose, we experimented, we learned, and we then rerolled with a new toon once we learned what the hell we were doing; I expect everyone else that wants to play this game to do this as well. Full respec is just wrong--I would just quit, just like I did with d3. |

Someone mentioned the idea of allowing at least one full respec up until beating Normal Difficulty, or even just until a certain low level, like 20 or 30, and I don't see how that'd be too "babying" to players. If GGG wants to baby players less, just increase the death penalty. |

" No, I've never read it.... looks sort of like something I would enjoy though :P I share the sentiment of Dogma as well. I just wouldn't be as interested in playing this game if it was more forgiving. |

after the day diablo 2 patched a respec into the game i never started the game again.
the fun is to try builds, look what works, experiment with skills and build up game experience. the moment you add something like a full respec, you will destroy the game for people like me, that enjoy the things above. the way with single point respec at the moment is just fine! you can respec some early points, or some missclicks, but that is all you need. |

" sure there may be blocking nodes, wasn't a single path though. http://www.bar2ayunie.com/images/Final_Fantasy/Final_Fantasy_X/Spheres/Standard_Sphere_Grid.gif Some noob always complaining... hoping things get better.

" Yeah there was lol Until you got to like the last level (and be able to get blocking orbs easily) there was basically only 1 linear path for every character. |

" there was what? it's not linear, linear means A to B no deviation. i looked at it, there's branching paths that aren't blocked. it's not linear. look at where tidus starts. look at where delay attack is just a little north, you go left into the yellow and 1 gray node and there's one to the right or a str node to the top. neither are blocked. it's not linear, and that's not end-game for tidus, in fact that's very EARLY game. sure it's to small little tree area but its still not linear, plus there's l3 lock sphere orbs early on if you know where to get im as well. so you could go get sentinel early and not late game like you said. anyways that's like 12 years ago, to not innovate on it is just lacking if that was the case.
