Donald Trump and US politics

It's true that some people can't or won't handle the truth. But there's no need to hide the truth from them; they either won't notice it, or hide from it themselves. It's lies and propaganda that people have real trouble handling.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I also forgot that it doesnt take into account if the person has several transgressions when is given jail time. I mean, its not all the time that you go to court just for one thing. Someone that is in court for battery might have multiple accounts of it and some other crimes mixed in. 1s 2nd and 3rd degree felonies included loads of different stuff.

The data is pretty bad. too simplistic, too generalistic.

I mean for example:

If you make this about race only. what kind of racist is this?
hates blacks on drug possesion and 2nd degree felony but not ones that drive w/o license...? In fact, driving without license she hates only whites?
I also dont know how they arrive to numbers of days, do they just sum them or they average? actually mousing over says number of charges, but not number of people, lacking.

It might not be a matter of hate, but bias. You can be biased against black people when it comes to drug crimes (giving them longer sentences), and be biased against white people when it comes to other kind of crimes.

It might not even be conscious. Say that a judge can give the sentence between 1 to 5 years of prison for a certain crime, He or she might not even realize that most of the time when it comes to black people his/her sentence is closer to five, while with white people is closer to one.

The thing is, stereotypes could be very well influencing how harsh the law can be to you. You talked about white people having longer sentences when it comes to driving without license, I don't think that is right either. No matter if you are black or white, that shouldn't affect how long you should stay in jail for a crime.

When I talk about this stuff I don't do it for people to look for someone to blame or punish, I think the best way to solve this kind of thing is to talk about ways to better the system in a way that is harder for this to happen.

-------

I have a similar stance on quotas, I'm not all in favor for it, but I think that if someone put them in place they were probably trying to fix something. Say that the reason they put quotas is because black people end up studying in schools of lesser quality, if you fix that then nobody will be needing quotas. Let's say that because of cultural issues black people are less likely to go to the college, I think that the government can fix that too if they try it. Some believe that the US is a world leader, if it is so great, then it must be easy to give equal opportunity to every US-born citizen.

I like capitalism, but I think that it's important for everyone to have proper education so they can have at least a chance of succeeding on it.

That seems like a nice dude...

Seriously tho, do you guys really think that that dude is better than a feminazi?

At least feminazis pull their titties out.

Hmm-hmm, I understand what you mean. I still have a problem with the data though. Its very incomplete, there's margin for a lot of errors.

I understand the way of thinking but I disagree with the quotas completely still. You dont fix things with those. You fix things by bringing better education to some areas, getting rid of crime, etc. "they were probably trying to fix something" is not an excuse.
As far as I understand in the US you can enter several different colleges depending on how well you do. Quotas pretty much destroy the purpose of it. Like I said, you arent making anyone more intelligent by giving them free pass into a college with higher standards (I remember seeing some long while ago for example that students that got into MIT through quotas were unsurprisingly consistently in the bottom rankings)

If you want more people of X group to get education of a certain level, you start from the bottom and middle, making sure they get a good education prior to college to get in without needing any quotas. Also you start by eradicating gangs. That's a move that needs to be done sooner or later, I dont care if its crips bloods aryan brotherhood MS-13 or whatever.
A major country-wide cleanup operation is long overdue, a ruthless one. Its bad enough that a lot of kids may have an unstable household, an unstable, dangerous neighborhood just leads me to be completely unsurprised that people from "bad areas" tend to do worse overall in studies.
For that matter I talk of that as well so that people may distance themselves from gang culture, I dont know nowadays but I found it very worrying that at least a few years ago the most popular website among black youths was worldstarhiphop, a site where you could find a lot of videos glorifying violence and overall thuggish attitude.

keked at the pic though I am still very suspicious of the whole russia thing overall, probably didnt help that some corrupt were openly talking about the deep state as if it was a good thing when going against trump.
but for the twitter link, I dont know what's up with your links. They never work for me. (well videos dont work in my browser unless I change the url to mobile.twitter but when I do with yours I just get page not found)

That is basically what I've said, if quotas are in place it's because people think there is a problem, I personally don't think quotas is the best way to fix the problem, but removing quotas and then ignoring the supposed problem doesn't solve anything either.

It's because I mess with them. For example, this tweet:

If you replace the "username" by "i" and the "status" by "videos", when I open on my browser(chrome) only the video will be displayed and on full screen. Like that:

https://twitter.com/i/videos/862403836182441984

I do that because sometimes I don't agree with the tweet, but I still want to share the video.

This is the tweet with the video of the drunk trump supporter if you want to try opening it:

He didn't let the american press in, but he let the russian press...

Look, I don't know much about politics, but I think it's quite a slip if you meet russians just after you fired the guy that was in charge of investigating you of collusion with russians...

I mean, can you guys imagine the outrage if Obama, or Hillary fired someone in charge of investigating them for anything?

People got mad at him for wearing a tan suit, or asking for mustard on his burger.

If he did that the sky would turn bloody red.

Also, it doesn't help that Comey was fired just after he asked for more money to expand his investigation
President Trump has a fine sense of irony. Fire Comey, invite teh Rooskies to the WH, and, after being compared with Nixon, invite Henry Kissinger (Nixons SoS) to the WH, as well.

It's just his little way of saying, "No one who matters cares what the haters think." =^[.]^=

Olbermann lost his mind in November. What's sad is that he hasn't got help. Sadder, that he won't.

Eh, sorry seems I misunderstood you earlier regarding quotas.

Thanks for clarification, I dont use twitter that much. Eh that drunk guy seems to have some serious anger issues.

While I am for firing comey Im a bit thorn on the timing. A bit cause while I think he shouldnt fire when he's supposedly under investigation I think they are gonna stretch that shit for as long as he runs. I dont trust comey but for that matter, there's are constant invisible powerplays going on, its not just dont trust comey, its dont trust anybody.

Now for the press and russians I dont know the case, I'd like to know which wanted in to see if it was all american media barred or if the ones that were just the ones that he's still "at war with"? I also see him being dickish enough to do this all to spite them due to the russia-ties accusation, but with that said I dont think one should "lower their guard" and keep paying attention. That goes for people who elected him especially, particulary cause a lot (not all ofc) of people against him are living in lalaland and already take a fuckload of bull as fact so they cant be trusted to actually keep a leash on a dog they want to euthanize.

As for mustard in hamburgers (obama) and well-done steak with ketchup (trump) there's a special kind of hell for these people, and so is for "journalists" who make a fuss about it besides non-serious-comedy "wow that's terrible taste" commentary.

I get what ya mean. It could be that indeed. Lets hope it isnt, but not let hope or bias guide us.

I honestly never got that duping delight thing, I think it takes a special kind of insecure person to do it. Not unusual for ones with inferiority complex to do it to people who never wronged them just so they may temporarily feel superior to them. Hell, they are often low enough to use the innocent, unrelated and/or oblivious as shields.
