So then i suppose the "Pyre" ring is no longer any good?

" The main reason this particular skill setup was decent was due to pre-3.0 'double dipping'. We converted cold to fire via Pyre and Cold to Fire Support. If we completely removed the chance to ignite (Elemental Focus) this ruins the bulk of our damage output but again, pre-3.0. Other options may be to stack cold/spell/DoT purely for Vortex alone however so far it does not compare close to what we had before the nerfs. Oh hi

Finding survivability still ok at 14k ES but damage is really low - all high lvl fights take forever.
If there are any more suggestions as to which way to go them please list them - i am willing to try. | |

Can manually cast frostbolt and then vortex for a nice damage boost - when it works.

Well, I wanted to try a vortex build, but it seems hard on 3.1. I did this trickster DoT vortex, life based, but could easily be transfered to ES based. If you guys wanna take a look.
