Endgame drops are ridiculously fucked up!

Map drops are terrible, yellow and red maps with blood magic and temp chains are equally as bad. Cannot stand having to do red and yellow maps with stupid mods to get 1% map drop that is broken
In the ever-dangerous fine line between making content fun enough to keep players paying for MTX and stash tabs, and making content so dumb it's no longer "fun" to play, GGG has slowly been tipping to the wrong side of that fence.

Their all-encompassing "GAME ECONOMY" focus is going to bite them pretty hard in their own real-world economy soon.

Time to move on to another game?
If there was another game with such deep and complex itemization and game mechanics, I would probably be gone already.

I wonder. Last sunday i've done a t16 unid, i put on anarchy and... well. One of the exiles (The Demontamer) dropped me a good pair of Skyforth. So well, even for me the maps drop quite bad but... i've dropped something else to balance that loss :P
Anecdotally, it feels like I drop as many maps from unidentified blue/magic maps as I do from alched/corrupted maps. My poor melee guy dies a lot less in the blue maps, though.
Map drops are my biggest problem with this game by far 666. Main reason I can barley play anymore. It's just not fun not progressing to next lvl map each time but in some cases even going backwards. Never liked it but I put up with it. As I have played more I just wont put up with it. I fully understand it's purpose, it's thier main currency sink but there has to be a better way than mindless grinding same or even lessor maps. Atlas didnt do much. You still won't run 16's all day if you're able or even 13s with 125% atlas. It's still one step forwards 5 steps back.

It's always gonna be that way it seems. So I'll fart around with new skills run a few maps with patches drops and play something else with constant progression. Call me semi retired lol D3 rifts are awesome they do end game right IMO.

Sorry having to tell you, but... i dropped your drops.

Spoiler
huahhahahahahah, that sentence.

Well, at least map drops are way better this patch, but still some streaks of no drops happens to everyone. YOu can try team up with some people to make your maps drop better too, usually helps a lot - they run free maps, you keep dropping high tier maps.
Sometimes...

Right? This is the thing. I have so many problems with this game (I hate being forced to trade to get decent items and build up a high tier map pool in a "reasonable" amount of time, xp gains for solo players keep getting crapped on while group play gets laggier and laggier, there's way too much randomness considering low currency drop rates, the "new" map system feels like the same old grind aside from some changed map layouts and less of a chance to see unique maps), and yet...

The gameplay and skill tree and socket system and gems and jewels and unique items and frequent updates and news posts nearly every weekday and (dare I say it?) general balance are amazing. I don't mean number balance (obviously damage numbers constantly need to be tweaked), and of course I hate that the game's balanced around trade, but there are so many factors at play in this game and GGG does an amazing job of subtly keeping most of the mechanics in check.

Play Lab. You will never rage again. The map system is trash yet people have become accustomed to the trash it is that they actually convienced themselves it is fun. The map system needs a mod overhaul. Until then, Uber Lab is where you go to farm for currency and is where you will actually make money. Carry people through it so you dont have to get goddess to run it yourself. Its pure profit.

( i tried making suggestions to improve the mapping system and people shat on it saying it is fine as is. Its funny how people can grow to accept something that is terrible. )

Yeah, but what is the profit for? I mean, what do I do once I am rich?
