There's no code displayed or implied to be posted. The OP explained what he wants to do and asked if it's allowed. Then GGG, instead of responding in the thread for all to to see, said to email privately probably the exact same thing he already asked, and they'll presumably respond, in private. Thus leaving the rest of the playerbase still wondering whether it's legal, and the question to be asked again, and again, costing GGG resources.

if players want to validate their scripts in the forum it involves them posting it somehow. which isn't a good idea in case a script is malicious and against the ToS.

best solution would be if they make the validation in a private conversation (as the just did) and op posts the code here after ggg gave their approval.

Yes the thread will die. No, we DO know about shift toggle's "legality" [policy]: it is not a violate of policy since it's abides by Chris' one action per macro/keystroke/button click.
