Some things you could try in the meantime:
-Reinstall/Update your .NET framework http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 -Check to see if you have the latest video/graphics card drivers. Graphics card manufacturers release updates from time to time to address the hardware malfunctioning under certain circumstances. -Minimize the amount of programs running concurrently with PoE -I don't know how much RAM you have, but if programs are competing for resources bad things can happen. If you monitor your RAM usage through taskmanager and see that with PoE open most of you RAM is being used, you may want to consider upgrading your RAM. Any links I provide are intended to be used at your own risk. FAQ: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/36608

The eventid 6281 is a file integrity error, pointing to the dsound.dll file in your case. I would attempt to reinstall directx (should recreate this file) if I was you.
The two 6008 eventid's refer to a shutdown.exe command being sent to the computer. I wasn't able to pick what was sending it out of those (if someone wants to double check over my work that would be nice) but that style of shutdown shouldn't be harmful to your computer. Are those times in the event logs corresponding to a time when the computer hard shutdown on you in the middle of playing? |

yes those are exactly the time I crashed during a POE lag spike

" I would open a support ticket with PoE customer support then, after trying the directx reinstall. The game may be sending the shutdown.exe command. (You can contact support with the button in the upper left corner of the webpage :) |
