I got hacked too, i was out for 2 weeks... Now when im trying to put the password, it says is incorrect, i changed it via e-mail and now my characters are nude... Same here OGfox. I just logged in today after resetting my password and my stash has been totally cleared. I have never visited or dl-ed anything illegal nor is my pc suffering from a security compromise. In addition,I have been changing passwords frequently because POE security itself has detected attempted logins from China, Shenzen. Similar to what Khodar has mentioned, we are the victims here. At least give us back the gear on our characters at the very least but oh well this is not the case. I used to think that this game is the future of arpg but seems like the security issue here is sorely lacking. POE doest not even have an email notification when your password gets changed. Apparently some looser tried to get into my account as well. LOL! Could GGG give me this persons IP address or something? Apparently he lives in the same state as I do and I'd like to go on a road trip to ensure this person can't mess around anymore. It seems incredible that it may do so, not that I'm willing to hack my account again, yesterday I try to communicate with GGG but I do caso.por what you see only care about making money, from February to stop playing this exceptional game you get a scoundrel and steal your account, hope it is resolved that if they will not lose many players, and please translate the game to Castilian there a community big enough players anxiously awaiting translation. My second account, which is also played from the same computer, is untouched. All currency/uniques are still there. P.S.3. Just a stupid theory: GGG, your data IS compromised OR your security system has holes in it, and the only counter-argument you've brought so far is "but admins/moderators have not been hacked" yeah well that's because it would pull way more attention than the "hackers" would like. You better realize that this can't be a purely client-side problem. Same thing happened to me and I agree on most your post scriptums (especially #5). Not a new computer but a fairly new SSD which meant fresh install anyway. I do want to shout out to Yukionnarei who saw my disgruntled general chat and provided my ranger with much needed gear even though he was a complete stranger to me before today. Yes, there are &^&%^ hackers out there. Yes, there are plenty of &%&^ people out there that just want to see the world burn. But there are also friendly people who selflessly support others.
