Hacked Accounts

Hi guys, i was hacked too. it have to be between now and 12 hours ago. at first i thought it was a bug, because of the new patch and there are items left which where crap and some uniques or something that are good.

but all in all i realized that i was hacked.
PLZ SUPPORT TEAM DO SOMETHING !!! i had a lot of stuff for that i played mutch time. is there a possibility that you can give me this stuff back ???

if not , i´m sadly to say that i won´t play path of exil anymore and i think there are mutch people they have this opinion too.

plz help us !!!!

Got hacked too, lost all of orbs maybe ~100 and one unique gaunlets. Also 70% eq from my marured and other characters..

So how do you guys get hacked if it locks the account when someone tries to log in from a new location? I got that notification this morning, so someone was obviously trying to get into my account, but they couldn't because they'd also have to have access to my email to get the unlock code.

With all that said, there is obviously a leak somewhere because to get that far, they would have had to have my password and I assure you, they didn't brute force my password.

and i think thats realy poor. i´m always nice to the people and understand them and what the reasons are for them, but this support from path of exil is only poor, sry but its true. all in all, what i want to say is, THAT THIS THREAD IS TOTALY SENSLESS !!!!!

i realy dont know why then dont want rollback your account if you got hacked :S

I think they would "react" and in a friendly way.

They do the game and can "dictate" the rules. Thats true. But....

We are the peaple who play this game.
And we are the people who report about this game to others.

To others maybe like friends and maybe like Game Magazines.
The agency e.g. Gamestar is thankful for any positiv or negativ information about a game.
Buffed give this game only 7/10 points. Mr. Penzhorn rise that to 8 points in cause of potential capacity. Angry player and bad criticism will bring the whole game down and no money for the company. Rumors about open holes for hackiers and a unfriendly or not exist customer service will do that too.

But i think they will react in a adequate way. This game wonderful and i don't want to see it goes down. Some posts before i speak about help from the gamers. Maybe we should do a new thread with facts an what goes on with this hacks. Maybe we find the way they do it....and give GGG the right information to stop this hole.

Maybe its an idea to do a authentication app for smartphones like blizzard do... this helps quite good because the code is generated on extern hardware so phishing and pc related hacking don't work.

today my bro received an email with text:

Your Path of Exile account has been locked because someone attempted to log in from a location that you don't typically play from - "Jiaocheng, Fujian, China".

we are from europe so obviously he immediately looked to his account and what a fucking surprise all of his items were wiped out ...

i read few topics around and i see you wont bring his lost items back, so if you can comfirm me this, i can comfirm that both of us wont be playing this game ever again..

we are not stupid, we dont use same passwords for things that are important to us as for things that are not important to us.. this password must have been brute forced.. and tell me why the hell you did not noticed thousands of attempts of login on a single account in a very short time?? thats the fuckin basics of security countermeasures.. we learn this in a school in every programming-like subject every year (im 25 yr old, not english native and pissed off, so it can look like i am 13yr old, sorry for that)

thats really sad, i dont know where is the problem with rollbacking the account from database, maybe you can clear this for me, but it wont help at all anyway..
