As GGG have said again and again, how do you know they are inactive? Plenty of people lurk on forums and don't log on / post.

That is what I call inactive.

What the fuck they do in the beta then? They just play the game and don't give any feedback. Good betakey wasted.

I wouldn't call that inactive though, if they're coming to the site & reading the news/forums, they are aware of PoE & probably want to get into the beta, they just don't have anything to say. That doesn't/wouldn't make them bad beta testers, just that they don't have anything to say now.

While I kinda agree with fozpro's idea, it would also screw over anyone who's on holiday...
People who haven't logged in for about week or two, should not be able to receive a key.

Comeone, look at this guy, he is next one to receive key!
http://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Cymepuk

He hasn't logged in (been active) for 3 FREAKING MONTHS !!!

Neither did he post anything, but that's different story.

Seriously DEVs, You should do something about this, right now counter (random )works like that:
1) 5 keys to useless and inactive people,
2) 1 key to someone who visits the site every day,
3) Go back to point 1.

Make it so a person who hasn't logged in for 1 or 2 weeks (its 14 days back from today) should not be able to receive one. Well, if someone is indeed interested, he would login and check in news at least once or twice per week, it's not that hard at all, especially at weekends.

i agree whis you

Checking the news != logging in though. It is easy to log in (& stay logged in), but you don't have to log in to check the news & read the forums.

Personally I think that signing up for the beta would be a better idea, though that doesn't mean that they're "paying attention" to the game either. There's always going to be downsides to any method of distributing beta keys.

Its been said many times before and they are not listening. Waiste of time spending more energy getting through.
Your footsteps are forbidden
But with knowledge of your sin
I SECOND THIS POST!
An option of deleting ones account on forum and thus exiting competition for beta keys is one of the answers. But just a partly one.
I agree that users that have been inactive for more than a few weeks should be prioritized below active ones. The problem with that is a lot of the current members that are active (including me) are only so active in hopes of getting into the beta. The older, less active, members could have been waiting much longer and I wouldn't want to deprive them of their chance.
weird thing is ...i check lots of random dudes to see who get beta ..and It seems to me that 90% of them was on forum exactly one minute.
I f....ed my chances ...im lurking several days in a row.

And they provide how much information about the beta? Alpha test is done to test the servers, beta test is done to test game mechanics and stuff. One that doesn't post before getting the beta is not going to post at all. Chances are like 0,9%. Well, if they do post, its usually bitching about something and trying to mock the game developers about something.

If you don't have anything to say about the beta, then why give them a key in the first place? I mean, beta is there to help developers to create/develope a better game. If you just want to play the game, then wait for the full version and let the 'real' beta testers do their job.

I know it is near impossible to tell who is going to give feedback and who is not. But you could just try. I mean, one post to forums is not that much as long as it has something intelligent to say.

Seriously, I've seen this hundreds of times in beta. This is no different. I bet this time they just play the game until D3 comes out.
