Season One, Race Event 7: Three Hour Party

i had a really good run and got really good drops.


But sadly died to hybris, things were going so good i thought i couldnt die...
But there is always that perfect playerslayer running up on you when you least expect it.

Fun race, man i wish i could keep that helm.

Died on FP witch after 50 minutes in caverns 2. Desync+suiciders. Wooo... Remade a PA shadow and got to 20 with 25 minutes to go, didn't think I could get 23 so I just stopped. Glad I was able to get a few points, but it could have gone better. Gear wise... Ugh.

Upon posting this, the top 6 on the ladder were all the different classes. Awesome

Well i think they work on it but keep in mind that even in games like d3 you have rubberbanding etc. and thats in a game which is not free2play

They should be DESIGNED for races so PEOPLE can not MEMORIZE LAYOUTS and CTRL CLICK out of instances until they get a certain layout.

There is way too much !@#$%^&* a closed beta person knows over an open beta player, and half the stuff is metagaming, aka knowing layouts, knowing exp areas knowing mechanics of the game that are BROKEN.

The maps are in fact more random then you think. But the entrance to the next zone is mostly in the corner of the map. There is not really a safe way to predict the next zone entrance. There is always room for mistakes. And winning in everything is always function with "time spend" beeing a crucial factor. You have it while in school, university, sports or games. The ones that sacrifice their social lifes will probably be ahead of ppl that dont. Thats how life works. I f.e. didnt play the beta but i still managed to get in the top 20 in the first one hour race just by running 2 or 3 practice runs and thats like 3 hours spend.

In the end in a month or two, if races are changed it will be the same 20 people holding 20 of each demigod item because they seriously have no fucking lifes and can spent 20 hours day memorizing bullshit maps.

A lot of chess player also just memorize crucial moves, so they are prepared if it happens to them. And if you want to be good at something just invest the time. If you cant well you probably have other benefits from not practicing that much. F.E. you mayby have a girlfriend or a job in which you earn more money then all the streamers and hardcore racer do.

Both of the races I got 27 in 3 hours, and I couldn't do !@#$%^&* due to the fact I had no saphire rings drop and i was melee and no iron rings or blue gems dropped so i cant even get cold res to rush MERVEIL

Loot is always a random thing. But you can also buy these rings (i know sometimes you dont get any). Sometime you just have bad luck so deal with it. I myself would also prefer a better itemsystem for races without randomness. F.e. White items for everyone that level with your level. So everyone has the same items during the whole race.

Imagine you were one of these ppl. Would you enjoy it ? Having to sacrifce a lot of your freetime to get these rewards and rankings. Some of them earn money with it and nobody expect yourself is holding you back.

81 RaikosAzure 12th Templar, Tried out an Elemental Ground Slam build utalizing lightning strike/infernal blow/Glacial Hammer depending on resists of the area mobs.

The drops I found were NUTZ though.
