Did performance get better in the last patch?

For me it only gotten worse than ever before :S

GGG said that engine multi-threading only works for modern CPU's. Well, my CPU's are 10 years old dual core, so I didn't notice any improvement either. What I do get tho, is random disconnects just by standing in my own hideout. also, crashes. The boot time is faster tho, but it's been there before atlas patch.

Im using extension comand to load game olds way so i cant say mach abouth speed.
What i can say is rain do not bother me att all in most of maps, and specific vaal area that where realy heavy on my FPS and stutering especialy when i play long now dont have thos problems.

Playing BV atm and still not see skill releted stuter or whant not, if it hapens its mostly becouse of something monsters do but even that is rear.

Tho i feer to enable saund effects, after they made that big change i whas expiriancing horible performance with it when enabled. My PC is definitly not perfect but they sure done something and for change its effects where good for me this time.

playing on texture quality = 6 on a decent pc, yes it runs smoother.

Hardly to say for me at all.

Game was unplayable on my old potato rig since 2.4, now have a FX Quad Core and all runs smooth

Seems much better for me. PoE is the only game I ever had / get poor performance on. But at least now I don't dip under 60fps with burning ground with a $1100au video card.

4790k / gtx1080 / 32gb 2400mhz / 2 x 500gb ssd's.

You should be lucky with GPU NVidia .ADM/Radeon Series sucks as hell.
With my hardware ( i7 2,93/8 GB RAM/AMD HD 7970 3 GB/SSD HDD ) game is unplayable,sometimes.
Samples :
Yesterday, on map Ashen Wood ( lucky, low tier, necessary to complete bonuses from Atlas ) - instant 5-16 FPS.
Burial Chambers - on boss area- instant 5 FPS.
For me, PoE is amazing, fantastic etc., but hardware service is still horrible. Even after crucial patches I had to correct an execute file PathOfExile.exe --softwareaudio with my SB Audigy ZS 2. This problem exist two years, at least.
