What skills/spells are considered to be a "Buff"?
I have a question. Are auras considered as buffs?

They should, though the damage auras may not be affected by the buff effect nodes.

Ok, I read multiple threads on this topic and would like to check if I get that right:
If I choose a 'increased buff effect on you' totalling to 30% (6%+6%+18% nodes), it will affect: Molten shell will give 30% extra armour than normal, but it's duration, amount it absorbs before exploding or damage dealt will remain unchanged. If I choose Determination aura, I will have my armour buff increased by further 30% (so 50-70% instead of 20-40%?) If I get Righteous Fire, I will deal damage equal to 50% of my hp per second (so no change) but my spell damage will be increased by further 30% (so 60-90% rather than 30-60%?) Auras like Wrath or Anger will have the damage they increase boosted by 30%? Hopefully got that right! IGN: AlCohonez, GhengizCohen

What does change in blood rage with 1 buff effect, 2 buff duration and 3 skill duration?

Inner Force' effect on Blood Rage and Righteous Fire will result in you taking much more damage. Blood Rage's increased attack speed on low life and life leech will also be increased by Inner Force. Righteous Fire's spell damage bonus will be increased by Inner Force.
While you will be taking more damage, enemies being injured by righteous fire will not because they're not the ones using the buff. Kind of old source: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/32505 Inner Force has no effect on duration, there's different passives for buff duration. Now this part is only semi-related. Previously having Chaos Inoculation, Inner Force and Blood Rage wouldn't actually have any additional effect. CI makes you immune to chaos damage but it's impossible to reach low life with 1 hp and life leech of course did nothing. But now Ghost Reaver exists and you can increase blood rage's life leech by 30%(that's 4% increased by 30%, not 34% life leech), in addition to already getting max frenzy charges for free. Edit: Was typing focus instead of force. Last edited by grogor#5937 on Oct 6, 2012, 9:51:40 PM

Still not sure what's the effect on anger and other dmg adding auras (if any)?
EDIT: apparently it does increase damage (not tested myself) IGN: AlCohonez, GhengizCohen Last edited by piotras#5522 on Oct 7, 2012, 12:31:25 PM

Auras like Purity should be considered as buff, since it's the main thing of aura, numerical buff for elemental resist. But it's not, i have inner force, 30% for increasing buff effects on me, have purity 13th lvl, +22% all elemental resists, with inner force it should give me +28% all ele.res., but it doesn't, same +22 applied when i casted purity after taking inner force in passive skill tree. Should it be like this?

I found this thread useful so i will add to it:
Flasks (Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, Granite, Quicksilver) all works with Inner Force (buff effect) But they don't seam to work with Buff Duration (according to my tests) I have made a bugrepport here: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/243522 @Vislike ingame

Which part of the resistance flasks is affected?`
Take this Flask: will that become: +13% to maximum lightning res +65% to lightning ress - +29/30 (29,9)% additional Elemental Res during flask effect recharges 1,3 (<1,5 therefore 1 ?) Charge when you deal a critical strike ? IGN: Doenertier (POE1) Donertier_EA_Monk (POE2) Last edited by Yoman#5188 on Mar 10, 2013, 2:29:20 PM

Did some test of what Yoman said and you are correct that you will get
+13% to maximum lightning res +65% to lightning ress But the 23% additional elemental res wont be affected it will still be 23%, same with Iron Skin increase armor, if its +88% armor it will be +88% not 88*1.3 Except: My quicksilver flask with 40 base and +20 extra did get 60*1.3 = 78 extra movement speed, for some unknown reason. So i guess the previous conclusions in this topic of all the inconsistency is true. I also tested the Curse immunity buff you can get with my Ruby flask today. But it wont either be affected with Buff Duration Passives. @Vislike ingame
