Death Penalties
When You die, from you body is coming up star(small light ball). So with this star you can have a look where is safe place do re spawn in some distance from body. When You re spawn you need to wait until health and mana will regenerate.
Another suggestion, will be fun from player side who is watching what is going on. When You die, star is coming up, and You can bring Your body in safe position in around 10 metres from body where it was died. Something new and interesting. |

I've enjoyed it when games have given me options for how to treat death. When you die in Hellgate: London, you get a pop-up asking if you want to respawn in town for free, at the start of the zone for in-game cash, or on the spot for real money. I'm not necessarily suggesting that these are the appropriate choices, but the addition of choices would be nice.
If you decide to go with a choice-based model, it'd be great to see an option to rez on the spot, perhaps with a minor or medium buff, and a long-term (15-20 minutes) item find debuff. Since the game is doubtless going to focus heavily on loot, this option would allow players to trade item progression for zone/story progression (since it'd make it easier for you to kill whatever killed you). ------

When you die you lose a % of gold % of xp and your equiped weapons.
If you die again your corpse will still be there with all your stuff until you retreat it. 1 it makes sure you dont go SPARTAA into 10 archers and make players think and know death will cost them. 2 it creates a feeling I don't wanna die I don't wanna die wich adds to the atmosfere of look everyone around you is dead you will join them soon if your not carefull. Make the player scared for death. |

Ever tried running into 10 archers in diablo 2 lod as a sorcerror you still get insta killed if you don't act fast enough.
I also used a mod called meridon XL it makes mobs even stronger. I hate games where it's ow hey you died *pat pat* of you go again no penalty. I don't know if you heard of demon souls or dark souls but that dying system is brutal (and I love it) You die lose all your souls (xp and money) and you need to reclaim your body if you die again there all gone. You still keep your lvls and equips btw |

When a zone is empty of all players due to death, the zone reset. |

It's astounding how many people suggest gold loss.
If people would bother to learn something about the game prior to posting, this thread could have 20 pages of interesting suggestions instead of 80 pages of "do it like game X". There are many ways to die, but only one way to live!

What i think is:
- It should lose XP - Drop all gear (to catch later on) - Monster should get stronger |

do it like sacred2 .... the longer you manage to stay alive while in combat (so no afk boosting it) your chance to find better loot goes up a bit..if you die it goes back to standard chance to find stuff
