There is a place in Hawaii called "Ala Monana" Which means path to the sea, and seeing that it is another Polynesian language, it could possibly mean the same thing. Prob a may the wind be in your sails sorta greetin.

Well, as others have said, Moana means "Means "ocean, wide expanse of water, deep sea" in Maori and Hawaiian."
And, of course, Tala is an abbreviation of the Old Karui "Ta La Lo" meaning "To Piss In". As such, all Karui on Wraeclast are giving an accurate description of playing heavy melee in modern PoE. In Act 3, Maramoa sometimes closes with "Tala Kura - go with courage." I assumed that she was translating her words. So, if we have Tala Moana, and Tala Kura, and Tala Kura means go (or be) with courage, Tala Moana would mean something like "Go with the sea" or "Be as the sea". So I always assumed that it was like aloha, and could be used for greeting and parting, and had some meaning akin to a blessing that the water won't turn over your waikoama, or something.
