I've put it through every pacific islander language in google translate, and it comes out as "tell sea" or "story blue" or some other word salad. Uniques and such with maori names, like Matua Tupuna, usually mean something, so what is Haku saying when he wants me to go bust a ghost?

It should be obvious that Tala Moana means "you're screwed". For example, if you play a marauder then you get Nessa's Introduction: "Tala moana, Marauder of Ngamakunui..." which roughly translates to "you're screwed, marauder for playing melee". So Haku says "you're screwed if you do my mission" which I interpret as meaning very boring mission and a waste of time for little reputation.
