I was just guessing what GGG might do to nerf chaos conversion since they said "sources of chaos damage conversion are being reduced across the board" (whatever that means) and Mathil also guessed that Voltaxic is getting targetted for possible nerf

I'll go with Voltaxic conversion nerf. Source: HvC's first level 100 in PHC. They'll also probably gut Consuming Dark. Source: HvC's first level 100 in the latest 2-week HC flashback.

If I wanted to make perm league currency, I would've just stocked up on uniques used by him in each temp league and I would've been quite well off by now :) Mjolner, Voltaxic, Consuming Dark, Saffell's, Lightning Coil, etc. - I'm probably missing a lot, I've had long breaks from PoE and have probably missed quite a lot of his nerfed builds.

Chaos definitely needed a nerf, I'm more wondering if they're going to hit the Conversion mechanic, the Conversion items, or gut it through the Tree.

I don't really want to see interesting items like Consuming and Voltaxic thrown in the "Legacy or junk" pile...

Chris did say the nerf is across the board, so it kinda implied its most likely all items with chaos conversion as well as the tree.

Also like I said since 2 months ago, chaos nerf will come, no matter how you try to redirect dev's attention to CoC, or how you try to imply inquisitor ascendancy has 400% damage scaling while chaos only goes to 350%.

CoC and Inquisitor both could still just like all other builds kill themselves when it comes to reflect, where as chaos conversion is pure 100% faceroll 100% of the time in 100% of the map mods as well as 100% of the ingame contents, including uber, as demonstrated by some youtuber.

I would say people will still be using voltaxic and consuming dark cheese.

As long as people could still reach good chaos conversion effortlessly, the chaos conversion nerf is completely inconsequential and Prophesy league would once again be filled with chaos conversion cheese builds.

Chaos conversion was powerful for very little investment but i really wish it wouldnt get nerfed. Having a lot of powerful builds in this game is a good thing. Oh well back to 4-5 builds that can routinely do uber i guess. Then it will probably go down to 2-3 builds after the community cries about flask builds and CoC.

In addition, Daggers, Wand and Sceptres will be slightly more likely to roll caster or attack prefixes if they already have related mods.

Isn't this a nerf to Cast on Critical? I think, indirectly, it is. It will be harder to get a good weapon for it.
