Why aren't there any mercenaries for hire in the game.......
There are multiple totems, zombies, spectres, skeletons, ...
They may not be mercs, per se, but they essentially do the same job, to act as a meat shield.
I don't see the need to mimic D2/D3 mercs/followers. To each game their own.
I'm not saying addings mercs is a bad idea, but it's also not necessary at this point either.

Pets are only available through the micro transaction shop. I think they have multiple variations on these; Scorpions, Basilisk(Iguana), Frog, and Wetas(Grasshopper)
Pets dont do dmg either, and are simply there for aesthetics.

HAHA! Selling services with a merc is one thing, but selling services with a player....Its faster, more efficient, and you get to see other builds/playstyles. Saw my first passive build playing public. Its was fun and intense. 4 Auras, 5 curses, and my summoner? We were freaking unstoppable.
