I am a scammer - Account locked?

I'm not the first POE scammer man,nor the last.

As far as i knew/know, it is within the rules.Not a loophole but well within the rules.

Hell there was a guy on the Reddit claiming to be doing this from week 1 (perhaps it was him who did it to me)

Read the whole post there are people that don't agree with your viewpoints.Some prefer wraeclast to be a cutthroat environment.

Again my OP was basically in regards to support not having any clear communication as to why my account was locked - not banned - locked.I came clean as obviously due to the timing of the lock my first and only thought was down to my antics very recently in game.Support in 48hours have sent 1 3 line e-mail

This i'm sure you will agree clarify's nothing.From my point of view I am locked out of a game without knowing why.

I wanted to know what was happening with my personal account.Take this as you will but honestly whether you see me as a psychopath,dick,asshole,whatever it has zero effect on my Real life outside of this game.Why can't I play the shady asshole ripping people off in a game if I chose?It's fun dude.

If i don't feel sorry for people who should realise it's a set up but cant look past the personal profit they would make forgive me.I see it as a PvP exchange tbh - same as ripping ppl to the bandits on HC.Market gouging on poe.trade etc.I dont think clueless newbros are after a coil 3rd week tbh or can do quick poetrade scans to work out if they will profit with coin cost + my fee.

I had a few guys lol at the scheme a few got half currency back for being good sports and the rest just raged without accepting that it was a fairly obviously ploy.

It is a troll account. GGG has not punished any scammer since the strawberry incident years ago. (Even then it was not certain if it was for scamming or for RMT that he was punished for). There is no proof that the thread starter actually did scam and that he was punished for scamming.

Dude totally legit read the post i've linked to my actual account.Cross reference the Reddit too for pics.The account name is stupid i agree but cmon i just made it to rant about the lack of communication between me and GGG support.

Your comment actually makes me feel a lot better though who knows perhaps support will tomorrow actually reply and i can at least get an answer as to why the lock.The timing of it all is just very convenient for them not to be linked in some way.

Can't even find the Strawberry thread anymore, he had many GG items, but it was before the forum update. May actually have remembered his name wrongly, but it was very close to that. :/ Had a turtle/bird as avatar ^^.

Edit: Found it: name was "strawberry1" and his thread had a funny name too "BEST GEAR ON SERVER, EXALTS ONLY".

Edit2: Rofl that thread reveals a forum name change of the previously famous "Kolp" to his new name lol.

Who cares if it is within the rules? The first rule of life: Don't be a dickhead. Lots of people fail at it, all of the time; you did so by choice. You talk as if fully accepting the consequences and it not being against the rules somehow makes it acceptable or ok - it's not. Don't be a dick.

A game isnt IRL.
And playing the badguy in a game is surprisingly fun you should try it.
I try my best to adhere to that rule in any real life scenario that said.

My thoughts are, while there isn't anything specifically in the ToS about scamming it's toxic behaviour that can impact GGG negatively and financially, because since GGG never have done and never will restore items no matter how they are lost, people getting scammed can loose them players and if they loose players they loose money.

Now even a scam on the odd occasion probably wouldn't do anything, but you did not scam once but spent a significant amount of time doing so.
Your account would have been reported enough that support will automatically ban it until the investigation is done.

GGG's only response at the moment is that you are awaiting investigation, the support staff that your emails reach do not deal with the investigations so other than handing the issue off to the investigation team they will not and can not do anything else.

And the account investigation team is usually very busy to the point that an investigation can take anything from days to weeks or even over a month(though it's not been that bad for over a year now)
