[2.6] life Mjolner done right by Rico - Berserker version

I started this build as my second character on essence league but i noticed the link for the skill tree without volls is not working, can we have a new one?

Sadly I will not support Volles Mjolner in 2.4 after the nerfs. It wont work as intendet. This is why Volls Devo is now required item as mentioned in the guide.

Hello

I first I want to say thank you Rico for the build. Its my first time playing POE and after a MF Flame Totem build, I now leveling my Mjölner Berseker using this guide. And man this build is fun to play.

I'm currently lvl 84 and going the full defensive route. Regarding the skills the only deviation are full set of purity aura's and molten shell instead of a curse in the cwdt setup. I try to get the cwdt setup with enfeeble but up to now no luck rolling the correct socket colors. Btw my cwdt setup is set to go off at 1,3k damage taken. I didn't found an exact lvl value in the guide.

Also the enlightened gem is still in the process of enlightenment and im wondering if I farm the 90C faster to buy a lvl 3 one.

For now my resist stats are 85/84/84 and 22% chaos resist and my life is at 4,5k with 1k ES.

I'm running tier 6-9 maps and the damage is great. Most of the time I'm spamming a quicksilver flask of adrenaline and running from pack to pack. The only slowdowns are essence mobs with 2-3 high level essences or map bosses. But this is most likely due to the missing multistrike for the molten strike setup (again the socket colors).

But the real problem is defense.

1. Element reflect maps. No chance what so ever to run these maps. Are the 2% max res from lvl 21 purities nececcary to run even low-mid tier maps with reflect? Or do you need to have 100% uptime of fire/lightning flasks?

2. Random one shots. Even with all the defensive layers I'm still dying suddenly. At first I thought it was the low chaos resist so I bought a new ring and belt and got from -40 to +22. This did help a little but some bosses are still very very dangerous. One example is the boss duo from the gorge map or the boss from the temple map.

My plan for now is getting the +1 curse note and running two defensive curses (blasphemy + temp chains; cwdt + enfeeble). Will this help me with the one shotting or I'm missing something?

Also in the build guide you write about life totals exeeding 5,5k. How ist this possible with this build? I have take every life note, i have life on my open ring and belt slot but I'm only at 4,5k. I'm only missing %life on my 4 jewel slots and 10 lvl. Are those missing stats really worth 1k+ life total?

You need 5.3k+ life to prevent one shotting from most sources. 6lvl is 6*12 = +72 to max life that is than scaled by all of %life increase nodes. So you should reach above 5k with lvl 90. Untill than use Enfeeble via Blasphemy. After you should be using it aswell...

You will be however still one shotted by mechanics like Dominus "Touch of God", Malachai slam or Uber Atziri double flameblast. If you want absolute tank Mjolner build refer to my low life version that can facetank 99% of the game content.

kinda stupid i wanted try this build but voll devotion costs 2x times more then mjolner...guess il have to grind for currencies with my dual flame totem dude

It used to cost, way, way more.
Back in the days legacy Mjolner was about 68ex and Volls Devo 28ex.

why dont u grab those power charges on the tree? 2x spell dmg nodes better than 1pow charge?

Build can have 5/5 charges. More is a waste of points as this build is RT and will rarely (or even never) hit more than 5/5 vs single target. For packs you dont need moar dmg. 4/4 charges with +40% spell dmg are also good choice but some people report that they "feel" better with 5/5.
