Is Ascendancy going D3?

I really don't understand why is it a "less" diversity of builds.
Assume there is 30 play styles (just a random number) in total.
30 play styles x 19 ascendancy classes = 570 now
Okay, not all 19 classes is usable in term of starting position in passive. Considering it as 2 to 3 (take the median which is 2.5).
30 play styles x 2.5 usable ascendancy classes = 75

It should be more diversified than before.

If you say "hey, I have to pick a certain class in order to be really strong", it's the problem between "optimal" and "good" build. If what you want is only good of sub-optimal, it does increase the diversity of builds. For the same skill, you can use Assassin for crit, Inquisitor for ignoring resist, Hierophant for being a mana tank, Necromancer for self-offering, Elementalist for applying all shock chill and ignite, Champion for perma fortify, Berserker for being a warcrying machine. But if you want to be optimal, nothing change. Since no matter how much content are modified, there is only one way to be optimal.
