Unnecessary amount of flask slots

This thread confuses me greatly. Too much flasks??

I figured I couldn't bring this up without people insulting. You guys just can't help yourselves I guess.
First off, I'm 28, to the person who thinks that because I don't like something in a game, I must be a kid? Huh? Secondly, some of the analogies and comparisons you guys have done are absurd. I can't put on pants cuz there are 2 legs? REALLY? Spiders are too scary please remove them from the game? WOW. I wish there was a forum where I could discuss things with people whose primary goal isn't to insult and boost their e-peen. BTW to the few people who responded seriously and gave advice, sorry your posts get buried in the trash. And to all the people who said I should just not use potions or only use 1-2 slots, wow. Might as well just use 2 skills while I'm at it. That won't negatively affect me, no, not at all. K sorry you guys can't be more mature. Flame on, leaving this thread. Maybe I'm just too old, maybe if I were like 15 I'd be more suited to flaming/fighting (which includes insulting me because I'm not as good at the game as you and I find things about the game bad that you don't find bad). And don't even try to tell me that some of you weren't insulting, you know exactly the tone you're using and what you're trying to convey. TL;DR (which today = more than 2 sentences apparently): If you think I'm saying they should have less slots while keeping the game exactly how it is, thus making the game harder, that's not what I'm saying. Just saying that they should have designed it around 2 maybe 3 potion slots. The idea of the flasks and how they work, I like that. Just too many. Should have extra skill slots if you want to add complexity, not potion slots. If I'm a stupid noob cuz I find it HARDER (not impossible) to keep track of 5 potions and 7 skills, then call me a noob, I don't care. I just know I'm not alone. I can't be. " Eventually you grow attached to certain flasks. They become family. I was confused a bit at 1st too.... Give it a few days and you will see what i mean. Its just a small learning curve. |
|
" You are. 13 keys is not hard to keep track of. It never has been. |

Not going to slam you, but I just have to laugh at the notion that 13 keybinds is a lot to keep track of. I'm older than you are, and am used to games requiring the majority of my keyboard bound (Hmmm, think EQ1 raiding I was using 34, between chat macros and everything else).

I use 5 quick-silver flasks. Each takes 20 charges to drink again, so if I kill 4 monsters each time I must drunk a potion, I do perfectly fine. I use quicksilver with a +30% resistance mod on it, because that means each flask is 6 seconds of increased mobility and increased defenses, both of great value to a Glass Cannmon. The amount of flask slots you have both permits variety and consistant flask usage. It's a lot better of a system for keeping pace up than diablo 3's health globe system.

" u cant be serious ? just put 3 flasks you want to use then on 1,2 & 3. have you maybe noticed amount of different flasks in the game ? flask for chaos resist, fire resist, hp, mana, armor etc etc and not to even mention variety of mods they can have on themselves makin for example 5 hp flasks completely different from another. whats your beef exactly ? too many flasks, too many numbers, too many slots ? u want 3 slots, u can have 3 slots. leave 5 slots for those who want 5 slots. i really dont understand your point. 1 Primary Health
1 Combo Health/Mana 1 Speed Flask 2 Mana Flasks with different abilities (one to dispel chilled, another for something else) Thats usually how I roll on my witch. |
|
|
I've never thought about this before.
Five flasks seems very appropriate to me. It feels like just enough. |

|
1x Saturated Health, 3x Instants, 1x Saturated Mana is very nice.
