Indeed doesn't work. But you can make an Iron + STR based EK Caster, if you wanna try - it works fine for Incinerate, no real reason it can't work here.
You might be forced to use Blood Magic or Mana Leech, however, which is a shame.

Is there a specific reason your Herald of Ash gem is only lvl 9?
I can see the reasons for "Cast when Dmg taken" to be on 1 and "Whirling Blades" to be on 2 (proably at 1 at best?) but what about your HoA?

Nah, started leveling it again. But I'm not using HoA - if I ever do, it'll be at level 94, and I probably won't even then.

Just updating for the new level (89), more or less done with the build as far as points go.

I just started playing again and i went with this build.
The 41k dps is that the tooltip or calculated?
https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Sweponken/characters This is my character, i am getting 17k tooltip and 23,6k with 6 charges at lvl 81. Not sure if my dps is so much lower bcoz of my jewels in skill tree?

That is my tooltip. I'll check out your tree and gear later,we'll see what to boost. Remember dps grows exponentially...

EDIT: Having looked at it, no q gems, no DPS Jewels, no DPS on amulet mostly (and no Cast Speed on the Shield). I'm surprised it makes such a huge impact, but there you are. No worries, it'll get better with gear/jewels/levels.

tl;dr - Jewels are one of the MAIN sources of DPS (and Life) for this build. That's why you have so many...

havnt had any luck with items or with currency so i hope ill get some so i can buy me some nice jewels

Level 90 now, now Ele Weakness doesn't even take an Aura, just a minor 3-jewel alteration.
Life is 6730, DPS is 52K, and I got my Taste of Hate back.

i died in Tempest but it was a human error :P

Its a decent build and gets fun at around lvl 40-45 or so. I had over 2.1k DPS with extremely bad gear.

No Mana Issues at all at this point even with Hatred/HoA on.

Decent Jewels are a must have though.

I leveled all the way through with EK which was painful as fuck so i suggest anyone who wants to try this to do it with another spell.

Maybe its possible with EK if you get 2 Lifesprigs or so but im not sure. Its really slow.

Leveling with a caster sorta depends on gear at low levels, yes. I had a Lifesprig and a great wand, making it easy.
