Just for the record, the Iron Grip keystone has no impact. On that, the discussion here has been correct.

And while looking at your tree and jewels it doesn't seem like it's going to make a difference, I just want to make sure you're aware that the Iron Grip gem is a completely different beast since they've changed it after release.

As you can see here on the poedb, Iron Grip now adds 2% projectile damage per level, and 0.5% projectile damage per 1% quality. You'll notice: these increases are not "projectile attack damage" but rather general "projectile damage", up to 38% at level 20 and 48% at 20/20.

So with Piercing Shots (including the 5/5 nodes) + Drillneck + Poacher's Aim (15% pierce / 10% proj dmg), you would have 65% chance to pierce, meaning the Pierce gem only gives you 35% increased damage. A 20/20 Iron Grip gives you +13% increased damage.

Making this adjustment would require an extra point on the tree (by changing the pathing to the Piercing Shots notable). Without that extra point, in the tree you currently have, the Pierce gem provides 45% increased damage (while still using Poacher's Aim).

In short, in order to make Iron Grip a more effective DPS choice over Pierce, you need +1 point and to replace a rare jewel with Poacher's Aim.

So basically this is just all academic stuff and a "for your information" sort of post, because spending an extra point and changing out a rare jewel that can provide 26% increased damage & life for a unique jewel with 25% increased damage isn't worth it when you can just run it like you are now.

But for levelling purposes for any PA users out there, pre-Drillneck, it's valuable information I think to know that the Iron Grip gem has a place now for PA during the setup process.

From one PA user to another, just thought I'd make sure you were aware, as I didn't see anything in this thread regarding the gem on a quick scan.

I personally have a Drillneck to a Corrupted 4% Chaos Resistances due to my Pvp tendency's, However your proposal of irongrip gem could in theory work, however it is not very Minmax Eks, my Jewels are typically 3-4 Mods, using the Poachers Aim jewel is a big nono for me personally, however on a lower level & lower budget end, is entirely feesable.

Thanks for letting me know~

Wouldn't a maraketh bow (6% move speed) be BIC for this build? Check my thread in my signature for a nice mirrorable WarBands bow.
Question: why go for projectile speed on your bow?
