Well that's another thing ... personally i never chance anything .. it seems like a huge waste of currency to me...

Nope, they actually have 3 functions
1. Chance items with them 2. Buy scourings with them 3. Use them as currency ( and in the end they are currency) and trade them for other types of currency Chancing items is really like playing the lottery .. and the lottery and all form of gambling is called "Idiot Tax" for a reason. So really .. i prefer to be the one who sells the scratch tickets instead of buying them... that way i "win" every time. Very true, but I do it purely for the enjoyment, bit of gambling never hurt anyone ;)
There are enough other ways for making currency, chancing is for a bit of fun on the side and who knows, maybe one day I win the big ticket and even if not, no biggie. | |

Some instructions for use. Note: this will not work until you are in the closed beta!!!
Copy the script into a .txt file. Save. Rename file to whatever.filter (.filter must be in all lowercase! if you cannot change the filetype, go to control panel/folder options/view/uncheck "hide known extensions") Place this file in C:/users/documents/my games/path of exile beta folder (this may vary. it's the folder POE creates in your "my documents" folder, same place you would go to alter your texture quality. Toss it in the root) When this is done, the option to use the filter will show up in your UI settings, at the bottom. select the filter you want to use, then hit "reload filters" Good to go!
