My vote is on pressing /oos script and tabbing out of game just so I can search for in-game item that people are selling. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Players and repetitive play.But really I don't expect this type of game to be immersive,games like Gothic,Skyrim yes.I even have played an RTS that was very immersive for it's genre Battlezone 2 but only with the campaign.
" I agree,they are so convenient but do take away the feel of a big world.Dungeon siege 1 was more immersive than DS2 for that very reason.You felt like you were on a long journey when you couldn't just TP back to town or a previous area.Its same with Skyrim Vs Morrowind.But like I say I don't really expect immersion in ARPGs except for the 1st/3rd person type. " And how cool would it be for guilds to be able to design their own logos on those capes!? :D Most immersion breaking (or my main gripe about the game) would have to be the fact that I can't get fully immersed within the (in my opinion) insanely short 2-3 months time. I like to build a main and then dabble with other skills and such as the league goes on. More and more I'm feeling unable to follow this playstyle as there is not enough time to explore new content on multiple 'toons (at least on a 2-3 hour/day basis). I don't feel there is enough time in new leagues for casual players to get somewhat settled in and able to do more than one thing or one character. I didn't even have enough time to mess around with my hideout this league. I just despise how the servers completely die with around a month remaining in EVERY. SINGLE. LEAGUE. (at least from the hardcore side of things) - so that leaves us with 2 solid months of fun game time within a 3 month period. I can't get fully immersed because I feel like I have to rush to enjoy my time and by the time I'm enjoying a suited toon, the leagues become worthless and deserted. I'm losin it a bit... |
