Other games have incentive systems for reporting bugs, I know some people in Dota received ingame rewards for pointing out major bugs that were fixed before they could cause harm. TF2 gives away ingame rewards for reporting bugs and rewards for editing the wiki (in a positive, constructive way). I'm pretty sure the people at Overkill have given out rewards to members of the community in Payday for reporting bugs too, not sure on that one.
Also lmao at the "you're entitled" responses. Shows how dense the people who play this game really are. |

Oh and if you think you dont come across as entitled for doing the right thing in a FREE game then maybe youre a just a tad bit smug. You sound like someone who would want a reward for preventing a crime against someone. Sometimes its just nice to be nice instead of doing something to get stuff out of it. |

TF2 and Dota are both free games that give rewards. Also you have no idea what people will report, because the incentive system doesn't exist, but I guess you can assume.

" GGG doesnt have to do what other game companies do, besides, i never played either one of those games and i dont think its ethical if they give people a reward for bug reports. This reward me for bug reports idea is like a child learning to poop in the toilet. Should it ask mommy or daddy for something in return if it did it right? If you say yes, you want to learn good behavior, if you say no, you are already well behaved.

I don't think "pooping in the toilet" is a good analogy as it's something natural and required to do. I don't have to point out any bugs, in fact, some people choose to deliberately ignore reporting bugs and instead abuse them. I have to go out of my way to report a bug, putting in actual effort out of my time to do so.
