Input banner into Forum Signature

Was wondering if there is a way to add a banner as a Forum Signature. have tried different ways to add it and it seems to only show up as the link instead of the banner itself. if this is not currently possible, can it be implemented in the future with such parameters as to keep banners clean and the size to be able to extend the length of the signature and the width to not exceed more than 5 lines. this would restrict the use of large pictures that take up the entire screen. I have included a random banner to illustrate what I mean.

Banners/images in signatures are staff only and I wouldn't expect to see that changed.
