Is it a bannable way to farm for vaal fragments?

I really don't like what this post encompasses.

We're getting confirmation of whether this is bannable or not months after it has been discovered and it had to take some random dude out of thousands to decide to post this thread before we were alerted?

Why wasn't this posted in the patch note thread and why isn't there an official reply that answers player questions when it comes to the recently discovered cheating methods?

they said the exact same thing back in ambush when people were doing this a lot, roughly 10 months ago, this isnt any new information that they kept from us, your account will be mistaken for a bot if you do this, people got banned and unbanned because of it.

its not against the ToS, its just not recommended

This is super vague.

If using information that the game gives you to make a decision puts an account at risk, then why not disable the frametime graph? What about people who can tell the frametime using audio cues or simply using an out of game timer (that does not hook into the game at all).

If the issue is simply accounts get flagged because they repeatedly reset a zone, then obviously you wouldn't want to give a # of resets per hour threshold, but then a simple examination of the account should show that it wasn't automated.

What portion of the terms of service does this method break, and how is it different than something like resetting Lunaris 2 for a dream instance or even being able to find your way through zones based on graphical cues?
CharanJaydemyr:some people need to really rethink how they spend their money....I will trash this item if I ever find it on principle...I've seen much cleverer "troll" items get turned down, so I guess GGG gave up trying to enforce that one. Not GGG's finest hour.

Wow. This is just retarded, you can't play the game the way you want to? No way i'll believe this, why would we have the option to do so if we can't?

I think this comment is supposed to be some clever ninja way to reduce server stress, ain't buying it.

shit tons of fragments. No need to camp docks all day.

Cyclone MARA Beginners and Advanced Guide.
Today farming sac pieces at docks with frame time, later 15 zones corrupted i got a unusual error that log out me when i was opening a vaal vessel, i log in and tried enter again to corrupted zone and again this log out me.I tried 3rd time and then this work and could open the vaal vessel.

This was a bug or maybe they thought i was a bot??Im scared xD.

If they want players dont use frame time or bots farm areas for sac pieces, they should add a captcha or do that sac pieces only drop at maps.
Its a simple as this. Its a flaw in mechanic of the game and your exploiting that flaw. So yes its a ban-able offense. Whether or not they do anything about it is another. Judging by the recent PoEHUD cheat coming to light I'd say you will not get a ban. If anything you will get a slap on the wrist and told not to do it anymore like some 2 year old kid. So farm away exploiters, farm away.
just do it who cares

I would like to second this -- I was unaware of this, and do not intend to use it, but that response is more frustrating that no official response at all. If it is not permissible to reset zones repeatedly, then please set a hard limit ingame.

Hey, well, of ourse it's not a reason to ban anyone for farming anything directly, but I have two issues that concern me.

a) Is it a cause of ban if I rapidly reset areas? Or a specific zone, Docks, in particular.

b) Is it a cause of ban to watch the framerates (f1) and shoot for a zone that has generated a corrupted area?

I think the second one should not be a reason, because it's not done by using a 3rd party program, or hacking the game, It's just reading the values the game already presents us.

The first one, however... Is it possible for the game to mistake me for a bot, etc for rapidly ctrl+clicking and resetting the zone?

I mean, I'm like:

"Enter - nah - reset - nah - reset - nah - reset - nah - reset - nah - reset - nah - reset - there we go."

Each reset is like one or two seconds after I enter the zone, so... That got me thinking.

Thanks for your time, I'd appreciate any thoughts or experiences.

I have farmed Docks the same way for tons of hours, I use the same fps "exploit" and I asked about this pretty long time ago and IIRC, Chris or someone else from GGG said that it's fine unless you are using 3rd party software, so you should be fine here.
