Fortify on whirling Blade.. great idea lol..
right now i have it on my 5Link...
we could defenetly do whilblade + fortify... fortify last like 5 seconds...

But i never notice what the shot gun of molten strike does ?

right now its hard to play beta, not alot of currency, trading is hard...

Shutgun is just being able to hit a single enemy w/ multiple balls. I looked at patch notes and they said most projectile skills will no longer shotgun but multiple fireball aoe's can hit same enemy. SO I am wondering if multiple molten strike balls can still hit a single enemy.

Hey there !
The build is sure creative with the use of "Ele Buzzsaw" Molten Strike and I like it and the tankiness must be quite incredible if played right :)

However, there's only one question that bothers me : how is the clear speed with your gear and setup right now ? The videos only feature relatively mid lvl characters (sub 75) or mid lvl content (sub 70)
I also added you in game to catch you when you're online :)

I'm trying to decide for a build for the 1 month hyper HC league and as I'll most likely rip a few times, I want to try different things, but clear speed is always a factor to me. Can't stand a way too low or clunky clear speed...

Clear speed is quite fast. This is the fastest and tankiest char I've ever made. I think I do Gorge in like 4 mins. I have a 78 map but I don't get away from the kids long enough to get a good run in without getting interrupted so I haven't made any other videos.

Mh, I saw that ! Clear speed is really nice, so the build seems really strong to me :)

Just one last thing : I was wondering, since you're not getting any crit nodes on the tree, it could be interesting to spec into Resolute Technique to make life easier, am I right ?
I'll probably try and run an armour + IR based variation of this build in the 1 month HC

EVentually we do spec into crit at endgame and if you can find claws w/ high crit chance that is very nice. We still have a very high chance to hit from all the dex nodes from ranger tree.

I don't recommend. Most people die from spells and not attacks making the spell / attack dodge of Acrobatics of great importance. This also keeps us safe from reflect.

I'm in A3 in the 1M HC league. Made a video of the whole thing. Ity'll be alot of editing but I can get a nice feel of it to make a more in depth leveling guide.

Currently trying out my Iron Reflexes + Unwavering Stance variation of it in the 1M HC league, this is the planned skill tree for my Duelist, for information :

I know, I know it's for lvl 99 or 100 but it's easy to select which nodes you need to get and which ones you can leave out.
Inner Force is there if more damage is needed, if not, simply go and get more life around the tree.

A Marauder start would probably be better but I simply wanted to play a Duellist AND an extremely tanky, melee, armour-based character, so I'm planning on doing just that.

Trying to 6-link my BotB so I'm using my tabula rasa. I'm at 20k tooltip dps right now


Having to wait ~1 month for the new expension with all its changes really keeps me from further optimising the build:

- Claw bases are going to change and there will probably be new T1 mods so I can't craft/buy new claws.
- I'd love to get corrupted Atziri's Step boots with 'can't be knocked back' against rhoas (they're dirt cheap on poe.trade), but considering cwdt+EC+IC is going to get changed, I'd rather wait to see which colors I'm going to need.

Depending on how stable the mana-management with those new moon claws + mana on hit jewels will be, I might buy a 6L Carcass Jack, invest 2-3 more points into the +4/12% radius of area nodes in the templar area, drop Blood Magic and get Concentrated Effect.

Obviously, you're free to adapt the build to your personal preferences, but let me tell you that there is absolutely no need for armour, Unwavering Stance, Iron Reflexes or Resolute Technique. You heal yourself so rapidly that nothing except one-shots can kill you and armour is not going to save you from the really hard hits. YeahPete is right, Acrobatics & Phase Acrobatics do way more for you for way less points invested. The only thing that is up for question is whether you want to get more evasion (and have a higher chance to evade for example Dominus' smash in case you can't get away quickly enough) or if you want to get hit more often so your cwdt-setups proc more often.
It would also be beneficial to get some more attack speed due to Multistrike's insane 100% more attack speed multiplier. More hits, more damage, more survivability through life gain per second.

Sweet you've surpassed my dps and your gems aren't even level 20.
An interesting setup your using. WOw @ those rings, ammy & belt. Tons of + ele dmg. I'm guessing you can hit 30k tooltip dps w/ that setup once your gems are maxed out.

You have any details on that? I haven't heard about that. But with the addition of fortify we likely won't need it. Just use enduring cry charges, and also use fortify support gem on whirling blades if those don't get changed.

Fortify + ENfeeble + 3 endurance charges is over 50% physical dmg reduction that alone should actually be able to remove the immortal call setup if it no longer works.

The thing with Molten Strike's Tooltip DPS is that is completely inaccurate as it does not factor in the damage dealt by the balls, it only counts the damage dealt by the initial hit. Try it out: throw in concentrated effect, it won't change the tooltip in any way because only the balls have the AoE tag.

The jewelry wasn't even that expensive (keep in mind i play on Standart), the belt & amulet were self-found and the rings cost abount 15c each. Just search for high life, high ele damage and ideally 2 resists or 1 resist + an open sufffix slot to craft another one on it.

EC becomes a warcry and loses it's 'spell' tag so cwdt does not support it anymore and Spell Echo + EC also isn't possible anymore either. On top of that, IC has it's base duration reduced as far as I remember.

I think so, too. Fortify + Enfeeble should be more than enough considering we have a 40% chance to dodge. Endurance charges would be nice but I'm sure as hell not going to self-cast EC before every pack. So unless I would magically get my hands on a 6L Daresso's Defiance (which is a damn good chest for this build btw), I'll probably play without endurance charges.
