A year ago when ROS first came out, DH was owning every rift with Sentry builds. I joined a greater rift 3 days ago and voila, 3 demon hunters still using the same Sentry builds. It's like game never moves forward, same meta, same items, same builds.
I still don't understand why people mindlessly grind for paragon levels. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

" What you dont understand ? The concept of grinding ? It's all about the loot and to keep you entertained. There is no specific reason or if there is one, it is the same reason why people grind the same maps with the same 6L shavs like a year ago. The fact that now you are spamming Arc instead of FP now doesnt mean that you play a total different character with a LOT more variability and new content. |

A R A G O N You can easily find 100 Legendaries per day in D3, in 1 month you find every possible Legendary items including set items. At least that was the case for me. Entertainment? That ends after 30 minutes of raping mobs. Items? I already found everything I'll need. Leaderboards? Achievements? Who the fuck cares? That leaves the only option, grinding for paragon levels. dont think so, poe is harder, more complex then easy build changing in d3,grafics are not the same, gamplay is diferent, i like more poe, but fasts exp and drop on d3, i spend like 600 hours + on d3, and i know that.I would say poe is better, maybe as good enough, but never the same.

You still didnt say much or anything about what said endgame should even be. Do you want GGG to just expand the lvl cap to 200, 300 and 400? Then you got the same as paragon levels, more grinding. Do you want a harder boss to beat or severeral? Again, impossible without the "players need 1 shot protection" argument, because you cant have stronger enemies at some point, because you cant die faster than in 1 shot and people already hate that. But there are a lof of builds of course which gives a lot of variety... you can play an Arc build and do some maps, OR you can try an archers and do maps, or... you can try a melee build and guess what ? You can try to do some maps. This all combined makes the game very different and very cool. " You dont grind for paragon levels, you play the game and in the meantime you gain paragon levels. Act 4 with tons of adds in some months bitches, and then we will talk again about PoE vs D3...
The next Lineage, or Lost Ark, are both like Diablo 3, a top-down view, beat-em-up style game, where is the oldschool ARPG factor?, we are playing PoE cause smells like Diablo 2, a game far better than Diablo 3, why should we make comparisions between PoE and the others ''''ARPG''''? " Thats exactly it though, its all a matter of tastes. Some like to grind out paragon lvls and rift runs, others prefer to grind out maps and atziri for uniques and lvl 100. And D2 is outdated and just doesnt compare well to games like POE, D3 and whatever else. Its only the nostalgia that keeps people talking about it, but the fact is, D2 wasnt perfect, and neither did the expansion make it that much better, it has its pros and cons like POE and D3 do. I still play D2 all the same as i play POE and D3. They are all in the same genre, they all can be fun, its just a tiny difference in mechanics here and there. |
