Mechanics thread

1) your thinking is correct, reduced and increased are at same time. you can "cancel" the negative with positive. if it said "less" then it would happen after increased mods.

2) you can get ghost reaver so that leech goes to energy shield. although yes, the leech amounts are only good if you are critting every once in awhile or have healthy amount of damage boost (for physical).

2. The life leech on claws doesn't quite make much sense to me. From what I understand, you can't life leech more than 20% of your maximum life per second.

The OP or a mod reaalllyy needs to edit the leech explanation in this thread. It's like people just read the word "cap" and then stop there D:

20%/sec is not a cap, it's the fixed rate at which leeched life is added to your life pool. If you leech 10% of your life in a hit, then you will gain 20% of your maximum life per second for half a sec. If you leech 40% of your life in a hit, then you will gain 20% of your maximum life per second over the next 2 seconds.

If you reserve 2/3 of your health pool with auras, are you counted as being on low life or does it count as lowering your total health?

Reservation does not effect your Maximum; your Mana regen doesn't decrease, %Life Regen is just as effective, and Low Life is still at 35% Max Life. :)
Is bow attack only "projectile" or also "attack" when it comes to using passive skills?

says attack in name and bows fire projectiles, so both. also bows are weapons.
so "physical attack damage leeched back as life" applies to bows?

Yep.

Endurance charges are related to the strength attribute and grant +5% physical damage reduction, and +5% to elemental resistances (fire, cold, and lightning) per charge.
The physical damage reduction stacks with the damage reduction from armour, so that they are both applied at the same time. For example, if a monster deals 100 damage, and you have 10% DR from two endurance charges, and enough armour to prevent 30 of the 100 damage, the incoming damage would be reduced by 40.

No it's passive as long as your endurance charges are active (10 seconds for the base duration). You have to use Enduring Cry or Warlord's Mark for the moment to get them.
